Here goes my genuine unfiltered #xfactormethod experience:

It’s certainly the right class to attend to set your sales and marketing foundations right, if you want to learn practical strategies on how you can apply to your business. However, I find it to be more relevant for those folks in personal coaching or training b2c industry. It’s hard if you belong to industries outside of it, say F&B or if you’re employees doing marketing for your company’s b2b products and solutions as their content have more personal touch to it.

Pity that Jo only taught us one out of the three days as I enjoyed his teaching pace, giving us ample breaks, frequently asking us to crystallise our thoughts to make sure we drilled in what we had just learnt and mini game challenges to engage our attention and for us to compete to win real prizes.

Mel, on the other hand, you will get to experience his teaching peppered with profanities. He’s genuine but it can get really intense as he often got carried away and forgot to give us breaks - we had really late lunch and little to no break in between lessons on Day 1 and Day 3. It can be quite forceful too, as his army style demanded our constant attention and responses - forced everyone to switch on their video cameras and reply him in the chat, otherwise he won’t move on to the next section. There were a few who literally begged for breaks as they needed to pee and he merely just told them to pee in a bottle, which one of the guys confessed he did, in order not to miss out the ongoing lesson.

Overall, I feel that the content delivery can be made more succinct (it has been a long three consecutive full days from 9.30am to 7.30pm). Can cut down on the repeated emphasis on how the X-Factor really worked for all your top rockstars (showing us many testimonial screenshots etc) Yeah we know it does, that’s why we came here to learn it right :)

There’s an upsell at the end for their Inner Circle 1-to-1 Coaching but it’s non-obligatory (not hard-selling) - optional if you would like someone to handhold you through your journey to implement what they have just taught and accelerate your business growth. This would be useful for those who have already kickstarted their business, as I’m confident that Mel and Jo are able to help you resolve any obstacle that you've met along your way - they’re really good at handling Q&As tailored to your personal situation.

Mel and Jo's Xfactor workshop really expanded my perspective, not just in marketing but in entrepreneurship, mindset, sales, content creation, and beyond. They are seriously the best at what they do, and they take their work very very seriously. They go the extra mile all the time.

Attended Mel & Jo XFactor Masterclass. It really dispelled traditional marketing approach and deliver factual trend setting, humane, engaging and relevant applicable approach. Never knew building character through social media helps draws similar like minded people that can turn to be your client.

Onto my Day 3 with #XFactorMethod Masterclass on Unleash Your X-Factor with Melvin Soh and Josiah Tan.

Having been on a self-development quest for the past 4months acquiring new knowledge and skills, once again I am putting on new lenses for past 3 days on how I view entrepreneurship. Even as an employee, it has opened my mind and eyes to factors that I can work on to bring more value to the table in my organisation.

Mel and Jo keep things real, and doesnt give no BS about what works and what dont. This chalk and cheese duo is engaging, straighttalking and lay out processes and clear steps which works. How do we know? They walk the talk and the many result-proof from real people who are now numero uno in their field, speaks for themselves. So assuring to recognise a few faces I personally know for whom i hold a very high regard for.

For those who are curious, all I can say is there are so many AHA moments you’d need a cart! Mindblowing.

I am not an entrepreneur right now, but the learnings and takeaways are something that definitely will shape my foundation when I start my new venture.

Many of my colleagues lost their jobs during this pandemic period so was looking to upgrade myself and find business opportunities in view of the pandemic situation.
