Its security is way too paranoid that it make internet surfing a hell of an experience. It slows down my connection and it kept freezing my browser tabs. It also blocks skype! Embedded videos on forums, You cannot play them neither.

Badly Programed!

Good program if it did not fill up your hard drive with Sandblast files.

This just has NOT been thought through at all, it is a badly thought through piece of software!

Dont install it unless you have at least a 1TB hard drive!!!

Product seems ok at firewall and anti-virus functions. It has an ongoing massive problem doing its own updates. They freeze at 0% or get to 100% and then 'error'. The usual chat support solution is to uninstall it and reinstall, or that the version you are running it out of date and a fresh install is needed - can't even self-update when that happens and there is no proper notification of it. I have used this product for many years and have been in contact with support dozens and dozens of times to resolve the constant update problems. I end up wasting inordinate amounts of time fixing the program (uninstall, clean, reinstall and then re-register) because of it. Going to another brand now as fed up.

This "anti-virus" software simply passes all well known software such as Microsoft and labels the software of small companies as having a virus which they decline to describe. If you pay for this software, you are wasting your money!

After uninstalling ZoneAlarm, my internet was gone. So I have reached their support through another device and just said that:

"Unfortunately, you got disconnected from chat earlier and I didn't know what happened. For free versions, you can join our online community and post your issue from there. Unfortunately, we do not have technical support for the free versions."

The uninstaller should have been configured to disable and remove all of ZoneAlarm's components but the program sucks.

Indeed a shame (it pinched a few hundred gb, that's how I noticed). This used to be a reliable prog in the past. Avoid! Try GlassWire's Firewall - not free, but beautiful.

since i istalled zone alarm i cant remove folders and "services" names SandBlast ......
i need only a firewall and antivir , now i use the windows solution

Check all your drives. Zonealarm creates hidden folders called SandBlastBackup and then picks personal files based on your internet surfing and document usage and stores them. (for what?) You cannot delete them until you uninstall Zonealarm. This is beyond shady and lame. It is a complete failure to respect consumer privacy and should be illegal. CheckPoint software is MALWARE! Do not be fooled by their clever language. They are spying on you and using your files and identity WITHOUT YOUR KNOWLEDGE. I found 3 sensitive business documents in one of these folders. There is NOTHING they can say to make that acceptable. Absolutely DISTURBING.

Did the job for a few months, updated then completely destroyed the connection to the internet. Took me ages to work out what happened as many steam games were installed, windows update and ZoneAlarm.

Zone alarm is worse than 5 years ago when i paid them for the service One might think that a site I have visited 10.000 times in the last 10 years might be recognised but no not even a simple google search is allowed these folks really need to pull their creative heads from the deep dark place they seem to keep them. Totally worthless in the free form thus why would i purchase the vetted version. Very irritating subset program, oh it changes for no reason from day to day also one day google is great the next day failure wake up and no accept your bs terms haha idiots

Without doubt the best firewall out there

I installed it on my system and my computer barely boot. Then after 3 min of booting it was working like crazy...the fan speed was very fast, computer was hot, it was freezing and showing me Blue Screen that says DRIVER_I R Q L_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL. It took me two days to figure out how to clean my system from the leftovers after the uninstall. I talked to Zone Alarm customer support for the Z A A R.e x e and Patrick told me how to remove it but it did not work. Then I contacted somebody else for Check Point endpoint process and did not work too. Meanwhile the antivirus that i installed after Zone Alarm could not stop crashing and could not update as it is suppose to (Bit Defender). Today I was so mad that I just stopped all their processes.

This is my first ever review of any software product because i do not like to review any product till now. But ZONE ALARM has changed my view. i used to install so many programs on my xp machine, that's why i got infected so frequently. I used so many top brands of anti viruses but whenever any malware strikes, all my efforts goes into vain until i found Zone alarm antivirus+firewall.

Whenever i installs any malicious software, it just blocks that immediately and acts sooo fast to terminate the threat from my pc right away. Now i am having totally peace of mind just because of a piece of softwared called "ZONE ALARM"... HAHAHA...

DO NOT TRUST MY WORDS <<<<< JUST INSTALL IT AND SEE THE DIFFERENCE...

Best antivirus and firewall ever!! Very effective and easy to use.

On my brother's advice I got Zone Alarm. I hated this program from day 1 because setting it up wasn't always easy. Since I had already spent money for a 1 year subscription I continued to use it. When my computer started acting funny I ran AVG antivirus (free version I already had) and it found a couple of trojans. Zone Alarm always said my computer was clean.

About a month before the subscription ran out I uninstalled the program and deleted it. My subscription was not set to auto renew however Zone Alarm did renew and charge my paypal account. It was a nightmare dealing with customer service at Zone Alarm. After several calls between Paypal and Zone Alarm I did finally get my money back. I had to keep telling each rep that I had removed their program from my system so why would I want to pay for another year. The last rep I spoke with finally dug into my account and saw that I did have it set up for manual renewal but in an area that the customer has no access to it was set to auto. This was very upsetting to me. The program was bad enough by itself but then to find out that my account (and who knows how many others) gets set to auto renew even when you set it for manual. I can't in all honesty recommend this program to anyone.

I've been using ZoneAlarm Extreme Security since 2012 and never had any security issue since.

This site provides the best internet security product on the market till date.
Very good site and user friendly layout.
They have one of the better internet security software that is purchasable at the moment.
I would suggest this product to every general internet user that is searching for a good antivirus and firewall.
