I received a phone call offering ten…
I received a phone call offering ten free lines and inviting me to sign up for lotto. I said my husband already plays and I really couldn’t afford the expense of playing myself. The gentleman I spoke to was very polite and not pushy.
I still received my free ten lines. Any subsequent calls have all been very helpful and friendly.

It was a surprise to get the free lottery numbers. It happened as a customer service thank you. The lady who I spoke to at the lottery service was very helpful and explained how this would work. She emailed me the numbers that I was allocated and the date of the draw containing my numbers. Sadly, I didn't win but the service was very efficient.

Seems like suspect marketing
Seems like suspect marketing, saying they are giving 10 free lottery lines as a "special gift for being a regular National Lottery player", which, A. Implies that they are part of the National Lottery, and B. States that I am a regular National lottery player - which I am not. With marketing that suspect I will steer clear of the company.
UPDATE following the company's response:
Well, when the letter says “We believe loyalty should always be rewarded!”, it's very noble of you to take it upon yourselves to reward someone's spending with a completely different company. I also buy the occasional pint down my local — can you reward my loyalty there by buying me a couple of pints at the Dog and Duck?
