We’re really sorry to read this and that you feel disappointed.
When a leak is reported, we do sometimes ask customers to check and clear the filter first, as this is basic maintenance and can often resolve the issue straight away without the need for an engineer visit.
If a fault remains after those checks, we would of course look at progressing the claim in line with the terms of the plan.
In relation to the cancellation fee, this is outlined in the agreement and applies outside of the cooling-off period. It’s not something we apply lightly, and we always explain the options clearly before any cancellation is processed.
