Do not waste your money!

Do not waste your money on this product. Terrible value for money, the contents are cheap and random, wouldn’t purchase or keep any of this.

Box of air.

This could have been a 5 star review but I wanted to wait a few months before writing my review so I could get a proper feel for the boxes and the quality of the products. At first, I was genuinely impressed. The first couple of boxes had some lovely items, including a few nice bits for myself, and I was excited to see what would come next.

However, by the third or fourth box, I started to notice a real decline. What I was receiving didn’t match what was advertised online or what others were unboxing in their videos. People were getting boxes filled with double the amount of items and noticeably nicer products, whereas my boxes contained a few of those things but were missing the more desirable items entirely.

After receiving my fifth and sixth boxes, I’ve decided I’ll be cancelling my subscription. My most recent box was extremely disappointing — it was mostly filled with airbags just to bulk it out. Inside, I had one cheaply made babygrow with loose threads, a plastic bowl, a plastic bib, a plastic fork and spoon, two dummies, some hand wash, and a cup. That’s it. There is absolutely no way the contents of this box come anywhere close to the £70–£80 value that was advertised when I signed up.

I used to really look forward to these boxes, but receiving what was essentially a box of air this month has left me feeling completely let down. I’m rightfully disappointed, and sadly, I can no longer justify paying for this subscription.

Edit / Update:
After cancelling my subscription and clearly explaining the issues I experienced, I contacted customer support. Unfortunately, there was no acknowledgement of any of the concerns I raised, nor even a simple apology. I received only a brief confirmation that my subscription was cancelled, and that was it. This lack of customer care has just added to my disappointment with the whole experience.

Why are they collating children’s personal information?!

I am expecting my second child and remember how expensive everything is so went to enter a competition to win everything you need for first 6 months (worth a try, right?!) when entering, they not only wanted my due date (okay, fine with that) but they wanted my first child’s full name (surname included) and date of birth….I decided not to enter the information as I can’t see the purpose of them collecting this information. In a world full of fraud, sending over it child’s personal information didn’t seem right, what legitimate reason (under GDPR) do they have to collate this information I wonder?! I’d urge people to think before entering such details.

Not worth the postage

I paid £9.99 for this 'free' box and was very disappointed with the contents. In photos and previous boxes I had seen cute baby grows, bottles, teething toys etc but my box just had a white plain vest, wipes and some female products. In the photo for this box in particular there were milestone cards, chocolates and a lion king onesie, and I did not have any of these items. I genuinely don't think I'd use any of it bar the wipes and cotton wool which is not worth £10 let alone the advertised £80. I wish I had looked on here before I took the risk. It came with a 'free' box of follow on milk but I do not yet have a baby, and considering they ask you for your due date and gender, this was not a useful addition.

Avoid, not worth it

Tried this due to being recommended for new Mums. Supposedly free but paid for delivery, I'd be surprised if what I got added up to that. Babygrow and wipes were the only thing I would really need, everything else dross. Also received a gel aimed at menopause for some reason, which could even be dangerous if used post-partum as it could cause infection, shouldn't be included. Also received some follow on formula that will be out of date before use. I complained about both those issues, the agent had the nerve to say the formula 'was a little bonus gift from us!' and 'we’d love for you to pass it on to a food bank or someone else who can make good use of it'. Erm no, if I'm paying I expect to receive items I can use. No response on the gel.
Cancelled subscription (remember to scroll to the bottom of the page, they hide it!), like so many of these boxes they're just a con companies use to offload old stock.

Do not recommend

The first box came and there was very little that I would use also came with a box or formula that would go out of date before being used. Accidentally left it too late to cancel the subscription before the second box and again the second box arrived and it pretty much has exactly the same stuff as well as another box of un-usable formula. Definitely not worth it at all

Very disappointed with my Baby Box…

Very disappointed with my Baby Box order. Paid £11.99 for delivery, but the contents were not worth the money at all. The box included 3 x chocolates expiring in less than 2 weeks (17 Sept 2025) I received the parcel at 5 Sep – lucky I checked before eating them. I didn’t double-check the rest of the samples, but this alone raises concerns.

The Mama Mio products looked old and dirty, like something from a clearance shelf, and was poorly presented.Overall, the box caused no surprise or happiness, only frustration.

I expected a trustworthy company, but this experience has left me very doubtful. Would not recommend.

Double charged

First box came in okay, paid £11.99. However I was shocked that another box came in today and I was charged double in my card which I have not subscribed for. I have a photo of the charged bill £23.99! What the heck and the box is not free return I have to pay to return the box which clearly I don’t need. Totally disappointed and what a hassle.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Had to pay £11.99 for postage for my "free" box. I wouldn't have paid £5 for what I received.

- 1 box of follow-on milk (Bonya? Never heard of the brand but a part of Kendamil apparently) which is suitable from 6 months but expires around my due date
- 3 sachets of ginger tea (unknown brand - looks dodgy!)
- vitamin drops for the baby but also looks suspicious
- tube of boob cream? I'd rather get stretch mark cream!
- tube of vaginal massage gel? Why??
- tube of "baby" massage gel - I'm not using that on a newborn! I'll just use it on myself
- large microfibre cloth - why??
- 2 drool bins
- 1 vest (6-9m, Primark)
- few sachets of folic acid
- 2 chocolate bars that expire within a month of receiving the box!

Honestly, I have had far better free boxes from places like Emma's Diary. This whole box feels like unwanted junk that they've thrown together, but I'm just going to have to charity it or something, as they're just not things that expecting mothers need or want!

I don't know how anyone can give a 5* review!!

I wish I had read the comments before…

I wish I had read the comments before ordering. First of all, I didn't realise it was a subscription box, so make sure you read the fine print and unclick the box, then follow up by email. Even though I unclicked it, I got an email confirmation confirming my subscription. I also received a 'Sorry, your order is delayed' email pretty much straight away, so it took two weeks. Nothing major, but just another thing to add to the disappointing experience. When you sign up, you are asked if you know the gender and EDD. This gave me high hopes. Neither of which, however, was taken into consideration when the box was sent out. I stated that I did not know the gender, so I would have expected gender-neutral elements; instead, I received pink clothing, the quality of which is subpar. I also set my due date as October, which makes the milk redundant by the time they will be of an age to use it, as it expires in April 2026. I have seen a reply from the seller on another review commenting on the same, and they were advised it was a bonus item and to gift it to a food bank. Well, the sheer size of it takes up half the box, so I don't believe this at all. I just think this highlights their lack of attention to care and detail, and it's a way to cover up their incompetence. However, they will respond as they wish. Also included, as others have mentioned, is a black microfibre towel, which, in my opinion, doesn't meet the brief of a baby box; it looks like something I would have purchased from Halfords to clean my car with, and definitely will end up in the rag drawer. A nice hooded baby towel or blanket would have been a better alternative. Folic acid is kinda pointless at this point in my pregnancy, but this I can let slide. There are some random drinks packets of lemon and ginger, and I particularly love the instructions on the back to add rum if preferred for a better taste. Thankfully, there is less than a month left for me, so I will be able to take advantage of that recommendation soon. Now to the items I did like, baby massage oil, dry vagina cream (let's lube up for the birth), booby cream after my baby has chaffed the moisture out of it and chocolate, which was definitely smashed within five minutes and saved me a trip to the shop. Overall, would I order again? No, but if you can spare £12 for shits and giggles and want to play the risky game of baby products roulette, then go ahead, some things you can at least regift. Let's face it, who doesn't want to gift their mother-in-law dry vagina cream for Christmas :)

Don’t waste your money!

The items included in the package are not even worth the £11.99 shipping fee. I received formula that’s expiring before my child even reaches 6 months, girly vest and bib (despite stating I’m having a boy), a black micro fibre towel (What is this even supposed to be used for), random tea granules. These took up majority of the box and will be 0 use to me and my child. Honestly save your money and spend it on something you’ll actually use because this “free” box is full of useless things.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We’re really sorry to hear you feel this way, but we just want to reassure you that this isn’t a scam. It’s very clear on our website that the first box is £11.99 to cover postage, and any subsequent monthly subscription boxes are £23.99.

We completely understand that subscription services aren’t for everyone, but our aim is to provide useful, parent-focused items at great value. We’re always listening to feedback and working to improve, so we truly appreciate you taking the time to share yours.

Bit of a scam... Last box not even delivered

Contents are 50/50 whether useful or not. Contain a lot of cheap Temu stuff and food etc which will be out of date by the time the baby is old enough to eat them. Worst of all is my latest box is over a month late, and support don't respond to emails promptly asking what is going on. They have taken my money and delivered nothing!

Goodish box BUT it had a pink bandana…

Goodish box BUT it had a pink bandana and the vest was very girlie so it’s definitely not gender neutral (also from primark) also got a men’s towel for some reason? Not baby related. And some other products will be out of date before we get to use it (like baby milk) so isn’t worth that but I like the idea.

Subscription scam, do not waste your money to receive Poundland and primark tat!

So disappointed with my box. Received follow on milk for 6-12 months that will go out of date before my baby is even 6 months, the 2 bibs and grow aren’t gender neutral so I have no use for them and from Poundland and Primark! If I wanted cheap Disney tat from those shops I’d shop there. Frustrating to see others received swaddles but I’ve been given a black towel from Avon, why would a singular black towel be of use to a new mum? I’ll be donating this box to charity. Complete waste of money and would urge others to not fall for this pointless subscription scam.
