I've been using wundertax aka germantaxes.de for years now. I have found them to be really good. This last year I got back exactly what they predicted. Nothing to it really. Just put in the information, follow the helpful guides, fix anything they find, and submit and pay. Then wait. it was great.

Service is cost friendly and really amazing. They do everything from updates to responding queries.

I moved to Germany about 8 years ago and was shocked when I found out the prices of a tax attorney. Also due to the language barrier I decided to give Wundertax a try and I have never looked back. Easy to use and everything is in English and well explained and the best part is the estimate I get at the end is almost spot on give or take 5€ so good job Wundertax. Keep up the good work.

What kind of tax assessment did you guys do?
The assessment showed €2000+ return and now tax office saying I need to pay ~€200?
What system your tool is based on?
Now I know your argument, you would say “we have already mentioned that the assessment is our best judgment and tax office may come up with some other results also”. But the judgment this wrong? Like 100% wrong? Then why one should trust your tool!
It is understandable if your tool had showed me that I may need to pay the tax office €150, for example, and then tax office says you need to pay us 160. That’s ok, that would be the right judgement your tool would have done.
But, when the judgment is 100% wrong then the tool is merely a slot machine than a tax filing system.
Seriously disappointed!!

After, paying the amount to the tax office, next thing I will be doing is deleting my Wundertax account for good and definitely NOT RECOMMENDING TO ANYONE ELSE!

I have used the Wundertax service for my online tax returns since 2017 and I'm 100% satisfied with the system and support provided when I've contacted the support team from WunderTax.

Experienced some difficulty using the verification interface, and customer service team was excellent. Quick responses (within 24 hr) and with guidance that resulted in solving the issue quickly, with few steps. Highly recommend!

I worked in Germany as an intern for 6 months at an English speaking company. I used Wundertax to try and claim the tax I paid back after I returned to the UK (as I never hit the minimum tax threshold). I entered all my information accurately and paid the £30+ fee. This was on 18 August.

I waited and waited to receive my return, but all I got from Wundertax was "If you still haven't received a tax assessment notice 10 weeks after submitting your tax return, you can contact your local tax office directly". So brilliant, essentially what Wundertax has said is "thanks for paying us, now go and do it yourself."

The whole purpose of using Wundertax was to facilitate communication between the German tax office and get my paperwork in order. Wundertax has let me down.

I had enjoyed WunderTax using them for years, but the 2025 form STILL hasn't been updated with the new small business VAT changes 14 months after the change in the law and so therefore won't let you make a tax return and is therefore USELESS.

If they miss something this fundamental what other mistakes are they making. The irony is their advice pages even mention this change in the law!

Everything was simple and fast to complete. The explanations are clear and easy to follow. Also the support team is very efficient and answers the questions quickly.
