Exceptional bench and friendly service
We commissioned Woodcraft UK to handcraft one of their York Memorial benches, in memory of one of our club members, who was taken from us last year.
Mike provided sound advice throughout the ordering process and was very patient with our constant chopping and changing of the wording of the inscription and the font we wanted to use! Mike obviously takes great pride in the work his workshop produces and is keen to ensure that his customers are not disappointed in any way.
The bench - a 6 foot 'York' bench with flat arms, duly arrived in late April and is spectacular! The build quality is very high and the attention to detail is exquisite. It's wonderful that there are companies like Woodcraft UK that retain traditional construction methods and the skills necessary to make such wonderful pieces of outdoor furniture. Yes, there are cheaper, mass-produced, less robust benches on the market, but if you want a high quality, bespoke product, then we highly recommend using Woodcraft UK.
The iroko is a stunning hardwood; the inscription perfect. In short, we couldn't have hoped for a more fitting memorial to our good friend and club mate, Johnny.
