I bought a domestic Wilo secondary hot…
I bought a domestic Wilo secondary hot water pump from an online supplier which, after 6 months, developed an unbearable noise from a bearing( I presume).
Wilo refused a warranty claim stating the warranty is not transferable to me. I tried over a month or so to get the original supplier to replace it which eventually they did.
The replacement wouldn't even start and just got hot. Wilo customer "service" asked their tech people to contact me. This never happened and I subsequently tested all the electrical components to find the capacitor was faulty.
Having changed this the pump now works as it should.
Wilo - if you are reading this perhaps you could send me a capacitor to replace the one I used.
There are a couple of lessons here.
1. Beware of buying anything that might breakdown from a secondary supplier.
2. If you need a pump then avoid Wilo because in my experience they will not help you if their product is faulty. Their customer "service" is not what it states.
