Review
My experience with this organisation raised serious concerns about how neurodivergent applicants are treated.
As an autistic applicant, I made clear and repeated requests for reasonable adjustments—specifically for clear, concise, written communication. Despite this, I encountered several issues during the process:
1. **Application handling:** My application was archived and later unarchived without notification, which made it difficult to engage with the system and may have affected my ability to progress.
2. **Accessibility of communication:** The communication I received relied on implied understanding and lacked the clarity I had explicitly requested as a reasonable adjustment.
3. **After raising concerns:** After submitting a formal grievance, I was informed that no positions were available. Given the timing, this raised concerns for me about whether I was treated unfavourably after asserting my rights.
4. **Information about legal processes:** I was told that ACAS Early Conciliation would not apply because I was not an employee. This appears to conflict with my understanding that Equality Act 2010 protections can extend to applicants during recruitment.
Based on this experience, I have escalated the matter to ACAS Early Conciliation and am considering further action.
If you are a neurodivergent applicant, it may be worth ensuring that any requests for reasonable adjustments are clearly documented throughout the process.

Wildpacks themselves were helpful and supportive, probably the best company to go to if you want to go to a camp in the USA, they negotiate a very high salary compared to other organisations. But the camp I was sent to was very unprofessional and the way international staff were treated was very unfair, bullying from administration and preferential treatment meant that four different internationals chose to leave the camp, I would have too if I could afford to change my flights. I think Wildpacks needs to do a better job of reviewing the camps they keep contact with, and only put people in contact with camps that fit the description of what that person wants. E.g: I wanted to be a counsellor at an overnight camp, and ended up a lifeguard at a day camp. Wildpacks makes it very difficult for you to reject a camp and so a lot of people end up at camps they're not happy with because they are pushed to accept the first offer they are given.

I went through Wildpacks to secure a summer camp placement in the USA, and overall it was a really positive experience. From the beginning, the application process was straightforward and clearly explained, which made what could have been a stressful process feel much more manageable.
The team were supportive throughout, especially when it came to preparing for interviews and sorting out the paperwork. They were always quick to respond to questions and kept me updated at each stage, which made a big difference.

Great agency!

Wildpacks have been super helpful in my summer camp journey! As a first timer they have provided great support with every step of my application and kept me updated along the way. They also provide great step by step guides during difficult stages such as visa applications.
