Josh A , what a star, was after a
Particular type of caulk/filler. No where on shelf, although Josh did search high & low for me. He disappeared & came back with exactly what I wanted. All done with a smile. Thank you.

I always find the staff in Epsom Wickes so genuinely helpful. Today when I visited a friendly member of staff offered much needed assistance when he could see I was looking for an item, and a kind colleague at the till (Yahya) was polite and helpful when I was paying for my goods. As a woman I always feel very comfortable and welcomed in the store, something which is not always the case in DIY stores. Thank you Epsom wickes for always providing a great service 🙂

Very disappointing experience with Wickes
I chose Wickes for my new kitchen because I wanted the reassurance of using a well-known kitchen company and expected the design and fitting process to be professional. Unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.
From the outset, I found the design consultant very unhelpful and lacking in enthusiasm. She offered very few suggestions or guidance, despite this being precisely what I expected from using a kitchen designer. I nevertheless wanted a Wickes kitchen and went ahead with the contract, although I still had a few outstanding questions and concerns. Unfortunately, the consultant then went on annual leave for two weeks without informing me, right up until my final deadline. I was left having to contact the store myself, find alternative contact details and arrange an appointment with another member of staff.
The fitting process was equally frustrating. When the fitter came to quote for the work, I was told that some aspects of the fitting would cost considerably more than I had originally been advised by Wickes. When I questioned this, I was simply told that this was the price, with no meaningful explanation or discussion. This pushed the project over budget.
Once the kitchen was installed, I discovered another significant issue. The wall units have been installed approximately 57.5cm above the base units. As a 5ft 3” woman, I struggle to reach even the second shelf. I would have expected the kitchen designer to identify this as a potential problem and discuss the height with me before the kitchen was installed. I am not a kitchen designer — that is precisely why I paid Wickes to design my kitchen. I certainly don’t think it is reasonable to expect a customer to anticipate technical design issues that they have employed a professional to consider.
I also had an issue when paying for additional fitting work, when the fitter attempted to charge me an extra £350 for work that had not actually been carried out. This was eventually queried, but it added further frustration to an already difficult experience.
I have raised all of these concerns with Wickes Customer Care, but unfortunately have got absolutely nowhere. The response was essentially that the unit height was “standard” and that I should have anticipated the problem myself. This is particularly disappointing when, from everything I have subsequently been able to find, a more typical distance between the base and wall units appears to be around 45–50cm.
I used Wickes because I wanted professional design advice and the reassurance that everything would be properly considered and coordinated. Instead, I have ended up with a kitchen that has a basic usability issue which I believe should have been identified during the design process, additional unexpected costs, and a customer service experience that has left me feeling completely unsupported.
If I had simply wanted to design the kitchen myself and take responsibility for spotting these issues, I could have used a much cheaper company. The whole point of using Wickes was to have professionals guide me through the process.
Overall, I am extremely unhappy with both the way the kitchen was designed and fitted and, perhaps most importantly, the lack of any meaningful response from Wickes when I raised my concerns. I would not use Wickes again and, based on my experience, would be very reluctant to recommend them.

We recently designed our new kitchen with Nadir at Wickes Epsom and it was such an enjoyable experience. Nadir was so knowledgable and gave so many brilliant recommendations and overall was just lovely to deal with and on hand to resolve any issues that come up. We're very grateful for all of the help and great customer service. We are very excited for the installation in a few weeks time! Carla&Rob

There was no design involved or interest in offering any solutions or suggestions. I was asked about my budget and then basically told to ask my fitter for a shopping list.
I’m not sure if it was because I was a woman or the size of my budget, but I left after ten minutes. The ‘designer’ showed no interest at all and was no help, assistance or interest in providing me with any products or solutions.
Disappointing Wickes.

I used to use Wickes all the time for trade orders. Ordered 6 bags of type one on line 16/6. Failed to deliver Saturday 18/6. I had to call them Monday 19/6. Told would be delivered Wednesday 22/6. Then local store (Epsom) rang Tuesday 21/6 to say would be Thursday 23/6. Received text message Thursday am to say would be delivered between 10 - 4pm. Stayed in all day. No sign 5pm. Call store. “Has not been loaded yet.” “Delivery driver on way back’. He is third party company and will deliver in order he choses. Is down for today but can’t say when will be delivered…. Currently holding on for online Customer Services - the third 30 minute wait. Draw your own conclusions. Needless to say, I have to reorder in mini digger and driver - another £250. Was to create hard standing for another delivery now on hold. Next time will use Selco.

Wickes have a great variety of bathroom products. Right from the begining of the process it was easy, our design consultant Nadir, from Epsom branch came to our home and took measurements, we then went to showroom and came up with the perfect design and chose products. Shortly after the instalers started work. They performed to a high standard, were polite and did an excellent job, can't fault the experience, now enjoying my dream bathroom!

I know it's not completely finished yet, but I'm confident everything will go very smoothly from here.
Thank you for all your help.
