The Dumfries store is our closest, and I've visited on several occasions. It has a good selection of products, and I can usually find what I need. The staff are friendly and helpful, but the standout for me is Rob. Whenever I've asked him for information, he's been cheerful and genuinely helpful. Today, he went out of his way to share his knowledge and experience on a few projects I'm planning to build, which I really appreciated.
All in all, it's a very good store, and the recent revamp has freshened it up nicely. My only small gripe is that the aisles feel very long; I feel they would have been better offset a bit or run horizontally, as they were before. But that's a minor point against an otherwise positive experience, helped in no small part by staff like Rob.

We received a shed donation through the Wickes community fund for our nursery. The whole process was seamless and Evelyn was extremely helpful throughout the choosing, ordering and delivery. This shed will make a massive difference to our little people and we are all very excited to see the impact of our new tinkering/ stem project that having the shed will allow us to get started! Thank you so much :-)

Just visited the store after its refurbishment. Got great advice from Rob at the store, who even took us to the items. Fantastic! Saved us a lot of wandering. Rob was knowledgeable, professional and friendly.

Riah was amazing from start to finish. Work with us to find exactly what we were wanting. She keep in touch via email and was super quick and efficient. Changing things around to make sure we didn’t go over budget. Thank you so much Riah can’t wait to get it all fitted now

Went to an hour plan/design, gave me a price, in my opinion as an ex joiner, the price on extra bits and fitting was ridiculous. Went back on the following Monday. to order the units but was told the only one that could deal with it was on holiday and not back for a week. Took my order elsewhere.

Rob was incredibly helpful and friendly and happy to discuss multiple options to ensure I got the best solution for my project.

Helpful staff. Purchased tiles for the bathroom from there and they were very helpful with loading them into our car.

We ordered new bathroom from Dumfries store. From start to finish everybody was so helpful. Andrea our designer was really good and helpful with design and getting us the right products and was great when we popped into store for help. Patrick our installer was brilliant at fitting our bathroom his workmanship was first class. He was great at telling us what he was doing and made a few changes as he was installing our bathroom. Nothing was a problem to him and the finish was brilliant. We are absolutely delighted with the quality and finish of our bathroom. Stephen and Joyce.

So, I googled where can I buy firewood near me, 'wickes'popped up, so I investigated, I had prices from competitors in my head, so I though I'd take a look, wickes had several items for sale and in stock, I went to the shop and Google comparisond the available logs, now is been buying from b and m at what i thought a decent price, a bag of logs from b&m would last a couple of nights, in wickes I spent a little more but so glad I did, these 'BIG K' HEAT LOGS do not disappoint, five or six kindles round one of these and your off, the HEAT and DURATION really did surprise, at least a two hour burn from one log, that's phenomenal, and when one log burns out a kindle either side and another log placed atop worked so well thanks to the octagonal design, for the money and the result it definitely worked in my favour, if you buy these you'll not go wrong, and the heat output jeez I had to open doors at either end of the room, I'll be buying these from this moment forward, well done wickes!!
And well done wickes staff, reassuring me that the product where i could not confirm through the research I'd conducted could actually be used in a log burner, thanks guys! You're knowledge is astounding, a huge well done to Wickes Dumfries, for a knowledgeable crew, these guys are the dogs cahonies,I also appreciated that they bumped off each other to get to the right answer, and I'm so glad they did, other people ignore staff, other staff ignore customers not i, not here, as I realise the wickes crew possess a knowledge I do not, and I'm grateful for that, keep up the great work 'Cuckoo bridge' Dumfries staff, you're worth more than you know, thank you so much for all your help, never forgottenP949MU

Awful experience with Wickes for my kitchen installation. long list of problems some of which are outstanding including a worktop that hasn't been installed correctly with a big dip at the join. Their proposed solution is to try and sand the dip out. Even after my complaint was submitted over a month ago I've had to repeatedly chase them for a proposed resolution. I have had replacement cupboards delivered but received a phonecall from them to say that the wrong cupboards have been ordered (again!). Not only has the service been awful but the way they have dealt with a complaint has been terrible.

I have just ordered my NEW KITCHEN.
As a first time buyer I didn’t know where to start, i phoned up wickes in Dumfries to get a home visit to measure up. I had Andrea, would highly recommend her to anyone. 10/10 service the ideas the help, the reassurance, helping make decisions. The kitchen I have always wanted she made it possible for me. She was friendly and didn’t make me feel silly that I didn’t know anything about kitchens.
I would use wickes again.
Andrea I will be back in years to come to get my dream pink kitchen.

Great store to visit, the staff are always very friendly & helpful whether you're looking for advice, trying to find something or need help to load in the car.
We recently purchased our new kitchen from there & from start to finish they've provided an excellent service, from the designer Andrea to the kitchen fitters Dave & his team to the electrician Pete they all did an amazing job! The kitchen looks wonderful & I couldn't be more happy. A big thank you to everyone involved.

Riah Bennett was my consultant and with her I achieved far more than I ever expected in getting close to a final plan for my kitchen. About six weeks early!
She understood my budget and the specific scope of my project and stuck precisely to that throughout our conversation.
Riah was delightful to deal with, professional, friendly and entirely knowledgeable about the detail of the products.
I came in, well before I was really ready to put a final plan together - expecting to have an initial chat, pick her brains and then go off and do some more thinking/planning. Instead, we put together pretty much a final shopping list for my kitchen and agreed a schedule for placing my order in a few weeks when I’ll be ready to take delivery.
