Initially friendly, followed by unbusinesslike conduct.
The club leaders are experienced martial arts teachers, though they appear to be a law to themselves. I wanted to try Tai Chi and attended 4 classes. The group was left standing in the cold outside the venue at the last class at starting time. A "senior student" turned up late in place of the normal teacher. There was no prior notifcation and the replacement teacher seemed to think it was as important to let his son practice sword play as take the class. The experience made me feel anxious during what is meant to be a calming pastime. When I politely complained to the normal teacher by e-mail, the reply said I should not have made contact by e-mail and not to return to the class. It seems that the "respect" referred to on the club's website is a one-way street aimed at propping up the leaders' egos. One is welcome at this club only if one does not complain when things go wrong.
