I have now put about 400 miles on my Everest X55 wheelset, and I could not be more pleased. They arrived three weeks after I placed my order, which I thought was quite good, considering that they were made to order and shipped halfway around the world. They were packed extremely well in some heavy duty bubble wrap, the likes of which I have never seen before, and the finish is flawless. I went with the stealth option, which matches my matte black bike beautifully.

The wheels were true, with no loose spokes, and remain so today. Tubeless setup with Pirelli P Zero Velo TLR 700x28 tires was uneventful. The tires mounted and seated easily, although I did use an air compressor to seat them (highly recommend), and I have had no issue with them holding air pressure.

The wheels are just as light as advertised, and I have picked up about 1 mph on my average speed. That doesn't sound like much, but it puts me about two miles ahead of where I would be with my old setup in my usual thirty mile ride. I'm 68 and I don't race, so one might reasonably question whether the cost is justifiable. But, for me, going even a little faster is more fun, and now my bike looks awesome!

The only negative that I can relate regarding the new wheels is that you do feel a crosswind a bit more with the deeper section wheels than what I am used to. It was a bit disconcerting the first time I experienced it, but I quickly became used to it. I do keep both hands on the handlebars in a crosswind, though, just to be safe.

Easy, painless process, very friendly staff

I've had the wheels for a few weeks now and am very happy with them. They are super light: the 80mm rear wheel *felt* just as light as a Zipp 404 rear I was swapping with. The reason for the 3 stars is due to the shipping. They got returned to the factory in China two times before finally making it all the way here. The address was checked and correct both times. Needless to say, shipping took a couple months instead of a couple weeks; a long time to wait for a new set of wheels. When I got them, I was initially concerned about the state of the wheels as the box looked pretty damaged on the outside. However, they were packed really well and there was no sign of damage inside the box. The wheels were still true and ready to go. I've heard new wheels should be taken to get checked out before riding on, but these were great out of the box.

Everest XL, Boost config is the perfect wheelset for my Electrified Gravel. Wheels are fast, lightweight and durable. Thank you Peter and team for quick shipping, support and overall great product and service!

I ordered an Elemental 50 wheelset from Wheelscience. I couldn't be happier with them, and Peter was extremely helpful and responsive to my many questions. Although I have only had the new wheels about 3-weeks, I just set a PR on a ride just this past Thursday. I would certainly recommend them to anyone considering a purchase of a new carbon wheelset.

Great customer service and communication from Peter in allowing me to have 2 x 45mm deep wheels and in keeping in touch on delivery. They were well packed and arrived safely. They did take a fair bit longer to arrive than I expected, but post Brexit and in the middle of the Covid Pandemic, I suppose this should not have been a surprise.

Super service and follow up. Took a bit longer than expected but the level of service and quality product overshadowed this delay.

Peter and Wheel Science make it easy to build your own personal set of wheels. I was a able to color match the label to my bike color! Looks sweet roiling down the road.

I ordered a wheelset of 50mm ELEMENTALs about 6 weeks ago. They arrived very well boxed up. I wanted them set up tubeless so I wrapped them with Stan's tubeless rim tape, added a set of tubeless valves and then began the onerous task of fitting Continental GP5000 TL 28mm tyres. Unbelievable hard, but I was expecting this. After adding some sealant I blew the tyres onto the rims with just a floor pump. My first ride with the new rims and tyres was amazing. The amount of comfort from the tyres and the responsiveness of the rims was brilliant. My Trek Domane feels alive now. Thank you Wheel Science for helping me out. It is much appreciated.

This review is for the Everest X55 wheels. I waited to submit this review until I could complete a few test rides. These are promised to be the Goldilocks of aero wheels. Light, smooth, durable and fast. I’m impressed that these wheels exceed what they promise to do in many areas and meet what they indeed to do in others. They are very light as promised (lighter than my very boutique brand wheels I’ve been riding). They are stiff with no hint of flex or hesitation at speed, going up hill or accelerating at 1100 watts. The hubs are indeed very smooth and fast. No need to upgrade there. Engagement is not quite on par with the best hubs on the market but fast enough to not be of any issue or distraction. Ceramic bearings are a nice touch and spin perfectly smooth. It’s worth an extra free 6 watts and it feels like it on the road. Aero performance is good and as expected for a 55mm wheel. They seem to hold speed very well and I seemed to pick up an extra 2-3 mph on the descents from my aero wheels I replaced. Otherwise tough to quantify aero gains but where these wheels shine is stability. Much, much better than most and are my most stable wheels in wind I have ridden over 29mm with similar profiles. Worth noting is that tire installation was much easier than other tubeless compatible wheels I’ve owned, which are many. In summary, on par with other stiff aero wheels of similar depth but run smoother, are more stable, look fantastic and are offered at a price that can’t be beat for a lifetime warranty. Zero complaints and you will not have any either if you purchase a set.

Ordering from Wheelscience was a great experience. Peter was a pleasure to work with. He answered all of my questions and made some great recommendations. Being a heavier rider he suggested going with a deeper dish rim in the back and race proven spoke.
The rims came in yesterday packaged very nicely. He even threw in a few extra goodies. I thought that was a nice touch. Would I buy these rims again? Absolutely.
I also had 5 PR’s on my first ride and Averaged almost 1 mph faster.

Great experience from start to finish with Peter and his crew. I first reached out in 2018, was surprised at the speed at which he got back to me, with detailed responses to my questions.

I continued to wait, read reviews, asked more questions (always answered, clarified, etc) and waited more. I saw his presence at Kona, saw athletes using his wheels in big races, all over the World.

The final aspect that pushed me his way: rider size and strength. I'm not a stereotypical cyclist in either category. I fit Peter's mold: former [American Football] player and CrossFit athlete. Squats are my jam! I didn't want to outweigh the wheels or blow through them out of corners. These wheels are made for strength!

The ordering process is easy. Since 2018, I've become a stronger rider and some things changed in my needs (upgraded the hub). Peter answered each of my questions, no frustration, no arm-twisting, just informative and helpful.

The wheels ship in a very secure package. They arrived true with no signs of mishandling (covering 3 countries and 3 different shipping systems had my anxiety levels raised, but I knew Peter stood behind his product, should anything happen).

Ride Report: my training plan had me on 100mi (160km) on my first day with the wheels. The route had everything, surprise construction zones--gravel, dirt, you name it-- and 3400ft (1030m) climbing. The wheels did great!

In 4 rides with the wheels, I've got over 160 mi (257km) logged and I am really liking them. I've had 2 mechanics from 2 different shops compliment the build, design, and look. These mechanics have done internships with 2 separate, major-name companies and are very familiar with building great wheels. Their endorsement comes with high praises! Pull the trigger, you won't regret it.

I like the Wheels and they ride ok .The skewers on the quick release are a very poor design and let the wheel set down.
