Dirty, Disappointing, Over-Priced
Daisy Dell/Dairy needs a thorough deep-clean including the carpets, with areas that need to be repaired or replaced. If you're considering staying here, I would recommend reading reviews and looking at the photos guests have uploaded showing the current condition of the properties and grounds to avoid disappointment. The play area is out of bounds and appears to have been for over a year from reading previous reviews. The sauna was not working during our stay. It's such a shame the grounds and properties aren't kept in a better state as it could be lovely again. The price should reflect the current, not past, condition of the property and complex. Although the location is conveniently placed for access to towns and villages along the north coast, I feel we have massively overpaid to stay here. The cottage appeared not to have been cleaned before we arrived, and the drawers in the kids room were full of someone else's belongings. The cottage smelled/felt damp and it was difficult to dry clothes and towels after using the pool without airing in the communal patio area or paying to use a dryer. Overall the marketing photos are very misleading, and we were disappointed with our stay. I hope Colin, the owner, takes this review in good faith and feels a duty to improve the cleanliness and standard of the complex for the benefit of future guests.
