People frequently complained about unhelpful customer service representatives, endless phone transfers, and frustratingly long hold times when calling. Consumers also reported unexpected monthly account fees, strict minimum balance rules, sudden credit limit reductions, and poorly handled fraud claims. Charged me a monthly service fee even…

Charged me a monthly service fee even after I kept a minimum daily balance of $500. I called and asked and was told it was now $1,500 minimum daily balance. They said they sent me an email, and a letter which is total bogus! Very Scandalous bank. Very unprofessional customer service representative, was talking over me and did nothing to try and resolve my complaint! I strongly don't recommend Wells Fargo Bank!!

Whatever you do

Whatever you do, do NOT EVER EVER do business with Wells Fargo. This happened in the Spring of 2026. I had a regular credit card there was a 300 balance when I also did a balance transfer with them. The first monthly statement showed they did not separate the two payments I sent, marked where each payment should post.
I called and asked why they did not post the regular payment and then the balance transfer to each “account”. It was my intention to pay off the regular balance @ 150.00 and then a second @ 150.00 & it would be paid in full and just leave the balance transfer payment.
When I called, I was told their system cannot post individual payments; they have been combined!!! Which means I am paying interest on the balance transfer that was due to be paid off January 2027.
I intend to send this to
“everyone” I can think of because this is against the law
. . and if it isn’t it certainly should be!!!

Wells Fargo is the worst!

Wells Fargo is the worst!! They advertise the whole extra day grace period and they do not honor it. They take for ever for deposits to clear them reject ACH immediately without warning even though a deposit is pending. This company is such a scam!!! I even have had refunds go into the account then they seem to disappear until a few days later. Definitely will never do business again with this shady company

Terrible Customer Service,

Terrible Customer Service,
Chase Bank is much better.
Too much to write out but they treat you like they do not care about your service and loves charging unnecessary fees.
Very money, hungry bank.
We are closing our checking and credit account with them. There are far better banks out there that treat you like a person rather than an income.

Worst bank ever!!!

Worst bank ever!!!
Someone called Wells Fargo pretending to be me to transfer my money out of my savings and the bank did it. Then the identity theft person removed my money out of my Checking. I received no alerts.
It took 8 calls over 8 hours to file claims with Wells Fargo. Then they mislabeled one of the claims as "client can't remember doing the transfer". It was identity theft not memory loss!! Went into the bank and nothing could be done. Once my money was made back avialable, I closed all accounts and will never bank there again. Beware!!!!

Completely dreadful customer service

Completely dreadful customer service. Made a claim this morning and was supposed to have been credited to my account. Not only did they not credit the account, lady wrote the entirely wrong claim down. They are useless.

I reported to Wells Fargo that I need a…

I reported to Wells Fargo that I need a replacement ATM card sent my address. Still approximately 30 days later Wells Fargo continues lying telling me they mailed to replacement ATM cards. Ever since I told them that I am reporting the fir discrimination they started a new excuse claiming that after I answer about 8 security questions they still need one more question verified my phone number. Odd how they never had a problem with verifying me without my phone number before. These people discriminate against disabled people and treat them like they are too incompetent to own an ATM card because I reported that I originally suspected a scammer for my card information over 39 days ago. I should not be blocked for reporting that I need a replacement ATM card because a potential scammer has my old card information. This is ridiculous and just and excuse for new world order where we live in a cashless society have no access to our money because the elite own everything. This bank is absolutely terrible. I am switching to another bank immediately.

If there was a rating for '0'

If there was a rating for '0', I'd give it. Horrible, horrible, did I say, horrible? They read from scripts and don't know how to respond to questions. They sent us a reimbursement check for our overpayment; they didn't write the check out correctly, so now we cannot deposit the check - not even when we walked into a Wells Fargo bank where we have the account! To make matters worse, we've probably spent 20 HOURS (thus far) on the phone with Customer Service - endless holds, transfers to new people, then we get disconnected and they WILL NOT call us back. Then we get connected to a new person if we persist and try to start a new call. The Assumptions Dept is even worse. To think our son did a internship with them; he would've never put up with this. Wouldn't trust them to take care of my $$ if my life depended on it.

If I could give 0 stars I would

If I could give 0 stars I would. I have never dealt with a more frustrating, disorganized, and careless bank than Wells Fargo. Every interaction feels like a battle against incompetence. Customer service transfers you endlessly, nobody knows what’s going on, and every “solution” somehow creates an even bigger problem. Fees appear out of nowhere, basic requests take forever, and trying to get a straight answer is practically impossible. It honestly feels like customers are treated like inconveniences instead of people trusting them with their money. The lack of accountability is unbelievable. Representatives apologize, promise follow-ups, and then completely disappear. What makes it worse is the constant feeling that nobody at this bank actually cares. You spend hours trying to fix issues that should’ve taken minutes, only to leave more stressed and angry than before. For a company this massive, the level of chaos and poor communication is embarrassing.
I would never recommend Wells Fargo to anyone. There are too many better banks out there that actually respect their customers’ time, money, and sanity.

Horrible experience

Horrible experience! We had a fraud on our account . It looks them more than 2 month to get our money back. After this, they told us, they will close the account for security. Going to the branch , to open a new account, we have been told, Wells Fargo decided to end the relationship 😀 😄 😉 So we also closed 3 more accounts with them of course !

Lots of fees

$12 fee if your account t is below $3,000. We also needed to cancel our account but we ended up being in the negatives because of fees. We tried to transfer money from an external bank account and it said it would take 3 days but it took a week. Because of that we had to pay a $35 fee for our account being in the negatives. Plus other fees that shouldn’t have been added because of how slow Wells Fargo is with transfers and deposits. Not to mention depositing a check with their app is impossible. Beware before opening an account because closing it will be a nightmare.

Should be a zero

Should be a zero. I was with this company for 14 years. I got scammed out of almost $3,000 by someone claiming to be wells fargo. When I thought my bank could help me, all manager Kyle said was " you should have known better" and proceeded to be as useless as everyone else that i called.

Pending Transactions

I called Wells Fargo for a pending Zelle transaction. The customer service representative explained it would not go through and the funds would be returned back to my account. I proceeded to do another Zelle transaction with another bank and it went through immediately. I found out later at Wells Fargo, the original Zelle transaction did go through. When I called them they said to file a complaint which I did. The result of the complaint was they are not responsible for the information that was given. This is the second time I had an issue with this bank. The first time they had signed me up for a home warranty without my knowledge and permission. I later found out they had done this for hundreds of their customers without their knowledge. This bank is shady, unscrupulous and not to be trusted. I will be looking for another bank for my money. I will tell as many people as possible about their thievery. Add me to the list of thousands of unhappy customers!
