Used Weekendesk.fr to rent a room in Avignon. In order to enter the hotel you had to have an entry code. No access code given. Unanswered calls made for hours. Had to rent from another Hotel. They apologized and gave a full refund.

They validated a reservation to a hotel that will be CLOSED up until the 28 Feb 2021, they (the hotel) literally have a pop up window saying so on their website. I only found out when I, ME the customer, called the hotel to tell them when I’m coming. Now weekendesk is ignoring my email & won’t answer the “client service” number. You guys are irresponsible you took my money I work hard for it just like everyone else, i am so disgusted that you people violated my trust and you didn’t even have the decency to let me know about something I have the right to know and paid to know!! I hope for what’s good for you all at weekendesk you take responsibility for treating a customer like a fool it’s pathetic. I hope this helps whoever stumbles upon it and maybe you’ll book somewhere with another company and won’t have to suffer this regretful ordeal.

Stay away from this company as much as you can. They basically use the crisis we are living in to try to stay aflot. I paid for a weekend that I had to cancel due to the government restrictions. I called the customer service to cancel it and the agent I spoke to confirmed that the trip was cancelled and that I should receive confirmation of it few hours later. Few hours later... SURPRISE, No refund but a voucher to be used within a year where the weekend I paid for was fully cancellable without charge up to 12th Nov. I contacted the customer service via email (since it was the only way to get a cancellation) and they came back with an email saying that weekendesk DECIDED (meaning they took the unilateral decision... despite the contracts stipulations) that they won't refund but give voucher. What a joke! So one advice stay away from this company, it's a scam to say the least!!!

Il conviendrait de laisser le choix à vos clients de décider entre attendre le remboursement et recevoir un bon d'achat, plutôt que de leur imposer un remboursement via une carte cadeau qu'ils ne pourront sans doute pas utiliser au vu des circonstances. Encore une fois, décider unilatéralement d'émettre un bon d'achat au lieu du remboursement (comme cela était indiqué dans la réservation, "annulation sans frais jusqu'au 12 nov"), est bel et bien ce que nous appelons une violation des stipulations du contrat !

scam agency; i've paid for a lot of options during the trip and i get nothing except a small and without HVAC room in a rabbit hole described as a 4* hotel.
WE said i'll be refunded, it's been 2 months and counting...
advice for your future :plan your trip on another site!

Same experience as Frank (below), except that the trip was within Spain where travel was declared illegal and hotels were closed. This company treats people with what I would describe as "organised contempt"; I would not use them again.
I doubt my payment was even passed to the hotel in question as I cancelled with as much notice as possible. Essentially, Weekendesk would like to keep their pockets lined and survive this crisis (funded by individuals who have been deprived of both the experience and their money). Shame on you!

Please stay away from Weekendesk, one a the few companies which benefit from the coronavirus crisis to cheat customers. They sold us a hotel package including cancellation insurance and refuse to reimburse even though we could not stay at the hotel because of the health crisis (no fault of our own).
The trip organiser, Weekendesk, and apparently the Hotel Maison Rouge in Strasburg, invokes the general terms and wonders why a couple, 73 and 75 years old with asthma condition did not honor the reservation. Forget about the fact that Strasburg, Alsace was the hotbed for the coronavirus in France and that Belgium restricted pleasure travel! Just come along and get infected!
