If I could give zero stars, I would. Fell for the Groupon mystery trip scam and was sucked into fee after fee, but since it was for my sons 16th birthday, I took the chance. So after what was supposedly going to be 193.00 per person for everything, now an additional 270 to fly from my airport. And the hotel fees and multiple other fees. My trip is booked for August 3. Unfortunately my sitter canceled for my two smaller children, and I have nobody else u can depend on. I call this company and Groupon who claim they cannot help me essentially at all. Of course weekender breaks can only a)reschedule my trip (for more fees of course 🙄 or b) transfer to another persons name (for 160 (today that is but could be more another day). Do yourselves a favor and do not fall for this SCAM. I’m telling everyone I know about Groupon and this company’s complete lack of empathy because I now as a single mother have to either come up with even MORE money for something completely out of my hands, or miss the trip completely. And I cannot replace a present for my child’s 16th. What was once a memorable experience for my child’s and I has turned into an absolute nightmare. I’m so disappointed

They will take your money and provide literally nothing.
They will then stop responding to you.
They are thieves. Full stop.

The woman I spoke with was very nice, I'll say that first thing. But it was weird to find that my option for travel is at the end of October. When I purchased the Groupon for this mystery trip, I selected three travel dates in order of preference: two in August, and one in early September. Those weren't available (I guess???), and I was instead offered a trip for October 29 or 30. When I asked about my selection of travel dates, I was told that I could travel at the end of September, but not from my airport.
So, when you purchase this mystery tour, you should know that the dates you prefer to travel don't mean a thing. And you might be offered alternative airports for your departure. That's not something I want at all, and at this point, as I cannot get a refund once my travel deal is revealed, I'm basically trying to give the trip away.

Bought a "Mystery Holiday" from Groupon for £258, and paid £80 extra because i wanted to fly from East Midlands instead of Luton.
Their T&C stated that you need to buy 2 wouchers, not 1, and that was that visible, that i didn't see it. I was ok, i will pay for 2nd woucher also.
They "offered" me a holiday in Spain, which cost £180. £100 for a hotel, where your view is block of flats with laundry put to dry at windows, and £80 for Ryanair flights. No transfers...

Booked a £129 Groupon or wowcher holiday only to find out that travel from non-london airports carried another £40 surcharge, but by the you learn that, it's too late for a refund.
They then ask for your date and put you on hold for 5 mins while they search for a cheap holiday for you..
We were awarded a £38 flight and then a £40 per night hotel.for 2 nights..The.most basic of hotels. It was OK, but they then wanted 7 euros for breakfast. No transfer
When we arrived our hotel was so far away.from.everything that we had a 40 minute walk from the bus stop at the end of the line. On our 40 minute walk,.there wasn't a shop, a bar, a restaurant en route
In the end we booked another hotel ourselves,.which cost another 62 euros.per night, but this one was in the centre,.with a pool,.a gym free breakfast a balcony.and a 5 mins walk from life.
If you are wanting a short break away for a cheap price, my advice is book it .yourself . Don't use this company
Our £129 holiday cost £169 each...if we had booked.it ourselves it would have cost us £80 each

I booked a $199 mystery trip through their website. When it came time to actually book, the dates clashed with my husband's work schedule, so we worked with a representative to reschedule. They assured us they could, and we spoke back and forth. But they never fixed it, and in February 2026, they stopped communicating completely and wouldn't respond to emails. I finally heard back from them when I reached back out in June, and was told that since the original trip was planned for 2025, and it was now 2026, they wouldn't refund or reschedule. I tried to explain that we've been trying to fix it since 2025, and have communications through early 2026, but no luck. Now I'm out $200. Just book the deals yourself through a reputable site like Pomelo or something, and don't waste your time with this.
Update: I received an offer to rebook after posting this review, but was told I'd need to pay an additional $270 to do so. I've requested a refund instead, and as of now, have not received one.
Update 2: Despite the response to this review from the company to the contrary, I have emails from them going back to November of 2025. They stopped responding in February of 2026 and didn't answer any communication until June of 2026, at which point they told me my trip had been booked the year before. Yes, because I was trying to get in touch with them for months. Again, they have told me that my $199 is nonrefundable, and if I do want to use that toward a trip, I'll have to come up with almost another $300 to go.
Completely awful customer service, and a waste of money.

Edit 6-2-2026- they contacted me to see if I wanted to stay in Orlando. No, I do not want to stay in Orlando where there is not a beach. As I am not familiar with Florida, I didn’t realize how long the drive was from Orlando to Daytona. Nonetheless, after you arrive at the airport you then shouldn’t have to drive more than and hour away to the destination.
Booked a Groupon trip. Have to travel 5 hours just to fly without an up charge and once I get to my destination, I have to use public transportation to arrive at the “beach” destination. There is nowhere in the fine print are communicated with me of the Phone that once I arrived in Florida, I would need to drive over an hour to the hotel. Highly disappointed

THIS IS A COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR MONEY AND TIME
I booked a “Weekender Vacation” package through Groupon expecting a relaxing 3-day getaway, but the actual experience has been extremely misleading and frustrating.
The package is marketed as a multi-day trip (around 3 days / 57 hours), but what they don’t clearly communicate is how the flight times drastically reduce your usable vacation time.
For my trip:
* My departure flight is at 8:45 PM, arriving in Miami at 10:47 PM. By the time I get to the hotel, it will be close to midnight — meaning the entire first day is essentially lost.
* My return flight is at 8:30 AM, which requires leaving the hotel around 5:00 AM to get through TSA and boarding. This completely eliminates the last day.
So while they technically claim “57 hours,” the reality is closer to 1.5–2 usable days, not a true 3-day vacation.
What makes this even more frustrating is that I reached out **immediately after receiving my itinerary** to request a change. I also called to speak with someone directly and was told to follow up via email—only to have the same representative respond and deny the request without offering any real solution. I was essentially given the runaround with no effort to resolve the issue.
The response I received stated that flight schedules are based on “limited availability” and could not be changed. No alternatives, adjustments, or compensation were offered.
This feels misleading because most people booking a vacation package expect to actually enjoy full days at their destination—not arrive late at night and leave before sunrise.
Additionally, important details like baggage are not included (Frontier only allows a small personal item unless you pay extra), which adds to the overall cost and frustration.
This experience has been a huge waste of both time and money.
I strongly recommend that anyone considering this package: JUST DO NOT !!
* Be aware that you may lose most of your first and last day
* Factor in additional costs like baggage fees
Overall, this did not match the expectations set by the advertising, and I would NOT EVER book this type of “mystery” vacation package again.

My issue with this have been updated and resolved as as goodwill gesture on their end. I'm going to raise my 1 star rating to a 3. A full refund for the hotel would have been a better resolution and would have resulted in a higher rating. Thank you Mehak for assisting me through this long 1 month process. Other than my hotel experience the flight experience was as expected, nothing to complain about there. The trip was fun, although it may be some time before I consider booking again.
I booked a mystery vacation through Weekender Breaks and was very excited, but unfortunately my experience was greatly shortened after arriving at my hotel room.
The hotel itself was beautiful, the city was amazing, and the staff was very kind and friendly. However, the quality and cleanliness of my room was far below any standard that should have been acceptable for booking.
Based on what I saw, I honestly have no idea when the room was last properly cleaned. There appeared to be bodily fluid stains on the chair, old coffee stains left inside the coffee cup, visible water damage with paint chipping and hanging from the ceiling, and even a boarding pass from March 2025 left behind in the room. My stay took place at the end of April 2026.
I reached out at the beginning of May to try resolving this matter privately, and it has now been over 17 days with no meaningful resolution.
I am more than willing to edit or update this review if this matter is properly resolved.

I had a very disappointing experience with the “Weekend or Break Groupon Mystery Holiday Voucher.” I purchased my voucher on April 22, and as of May 5, I still do not have a confirmed booking.
It has been well over 72 hours, and despite multiple phone calls and follow-ups, nothing has been finalized. I’ve spoken with several representatives, including a manager named Dave, who repeatedly said he would call me back—but never did.
I was also told that the dates I requested were unavailable, yet no real alternatives or solutions were offered. The lack of communication, follow-through, and basic customer service has made this process extremely frustrating.
At this point, the experience feels unreliable and poorly managed. I would not recommend using this service to plan a trip. If this is not resolved soon, I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
