This is hands down the worst experience…
This is hands down the worst experience I’ve ever had with any online platform.
I started the process to sell my MacBook Pro through Back Market Germany. The device was shipped, received by the buyer, and then everything went wrong. The buyer never confirmed receipt, the process was suddenly put on hold, and customer support stopped responding.
Back Market’s own website clearly says that if you don’t agree with a counter-offer, you can refuse it and get your device back. In my case, no counter-offer was ever shown, and I clearly stated multiple times in writing that I withdrew my consent, And then I received the confirmation from the buyer "Phenix Resell"yet still I wanted my device to returned in the same exact condition and this was also stated in the emails tickets and all places.
Instead of returning my MacBook Pro, Back Market and Phenix Resell: Ignored repeated emails and ticket messages - even the tickets creation process was horrible - I was contacting the DE market but the Tickets were created in US market. CST care Closed and merged tickets without resolving anything
Sent money without my approval or counter offer.
Kept my device despite clear written requests to return it. This seems to be a scam.
At this point, it genuinely feels like my MacBook Pro was taken without my consent. I did not agree to the sale, I did not accept any offer, and yet my device has not been returned.
The process is misleading, support is unresponsive, and the promises on their website mean nothing when something goes wrong. If you value your device, your time, or your sanity, do not sell anything expensive on Back Market.
I deeply regret trusting this platform.
