Is this a scam?

I believe this company is dodgy.
Every year they service my septic tank.
Every three years the pump needs to be replace @ $1000.
The pump is a Davey D42.
The technician told me this is the wrong pump for the system yet they just put in the same pump again again. It's obvious what is happening here. They make money on new pumps, so it’s no skin off their nose if the pump fails every three years. My enquiries with other pump shops? They say it is highly unusual for the Davey D42 pump to fail every 3 years, year after year.
You make up your own mind. Is this a scam or just very very poor service. Either way, I don't recommend Water Flow.
