Beware Wallaby Homes and Sam Bellchambers
I want to warn anybody thinking of building a home with Wallaby Homes or Sam Bellchambers to be VERY CAUTIOUS.
I am the principal of the building firm with 50+ years experience in the building industry.
I recently dealt with Sam Bellchambers of Wallaby Homes.
After ringing Wallaby Homes to discuss one of my projects in Tawonga South I provided Sam with documentation from which he could provide a quotation for lock-up works.
I had explained, and the documentation further clarified, that my firm was to provide all materials to lock-up stage.
In a subsequent conversation, at Sam’s request I provided access to my clients to (as he put it) “see if he could work with my clients”.
After a phone meeting with Sam my clients said that he had tried to manipulate them to give him the full job.
Sam told my clients that for some unexplained reason it would be difficult to supply a kit home from my firm to Tawonga South (notwithstanding that my firm has supplied kit homes all over Australia and Tasmania).
He further purported that it would be better if he provided all the materials.
How he was going to build a kit home designed by my company with no previous experience defies imagination.
That he thought he would be able to take the job when the copyright is held by my firm shows a serious lack of legal understanding.
I BELIEVE SAM’S BEHAVIOUR WAS UNPROFESSIONAL AND DUPLICITOUS AND I BELIEVE YOU SHOULD CAREFULLY CONSIDER WHETHER THIS IS THE KIND OF PERSON YOU WANT TO BUILD YOUR HOME.
If it was possible to give Sam and Wallaby homes ZERO stars I would have.
