This outfit replaced my Consumer Unit…
This outfit replaced my Consumer Unit (fuse box) and rewired the lights throughout. Then three years later when I needed a periodic inspection test and report they failed WAF Electricals work!
The earth wires were not connected at the light switches, the emergency lighting was incorrectly zoned, (connected to the wrong circuit breaker) The Consumer Unit wires were so tightly packed at the entry point that no grommet could be fitted even though other pop out entry points could have been used.
These faults were not just picked up by one electrician but by two separate one's. The CU was inspected by the owner of WAF electrical, Mr Wayne Fothergill at completion three years ago and signed off even though I mentioned to him at the time about the tight cables. He said he would pop back and squirt a biit of sealant where the grommet should be but did not even return to do that. He was a member of the NAPIT trade organisation at the time and has since moved across to another trade body.
I made a complaint to WAF Electrical but heard nothing back at all.
Had it not been for this years periodic three year inspection I would have oblivious to the workmanship and maybe even thought it was fantastic. My advice is to get the work independently checked checked straight away as it is hard to prove later.
