The website has changed a lot since I last used it. Although it still contains the same content and is great as a tool for beginners, it keeps trying to push the paid tiers onto me. Almost anything besides the course material or try-it editor requires payment to use now. The certificates are not worth buying as the content is introductory. You're better off proving your skill through a portfolio.

Wide Variety of Programming Lessons
I've started studying programming languages in W3Schools because they offer a wide variety of lessons.
A game changer for computing students…
A game changer for computing students specialising in programming/web development!
After learning some website development in college classes, I went to this website to do some revision and self-study for HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It breaks down all of the different elements and code into separate, bite-sized pieces. Due to this structure, I am more easily able to learn exactly what I want about web development.
In addition, there's also a "how to" page that tells you step-by-step how to code certain popular features of a website, like modal popups or how to make an image slideshow.
Would defo recommend this site to any programmer wanting to learn a new language or two :)

This was my first site for learning Front End. For a beginner is one of the best option and easy to understand.
A Fantastic Coder Resource
There's not a lot to say about W3 Schools, other than as a developer, I think it is a fantastic resource and has made my life easier. I use the free version.

W3Schools has completely changed the way I learn! The site is incredibly easy to use, beginner-friendly, and packed with practical examples that make even complex coding concepts simple to understand. I especially love the “Try it Yourself” feature—it lets me practice and experiment instantly without needing any setup.
The structured tutorials have helped me progress step by step, and I feel more confident in my coding skills every day. Whether it’s HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or more advanced topics, W3Schools makes learning fun and approachable.
This platform has truly been life-changing for my learning journey. I can’t recommend it enough for anyone who wants to start coding or sharpen their skills!

No response. I want a refund. Out of date. Irrelevant.
No response after numerous emails. It says 14 day refund no quibble. The course is completely irrelevant as it is a react course which doesn't cover functional components. Really out of date. Avoid.
Just waste of time
Just waste of time, I just went to savemy html file but it made me sign up and tons of process and kept premium to save file , such a waste f website ever
Review
Amazing structure and tutorials/guides. Much better then codecademy in my opinion as I can work on my personal projects while using w3schools as a reference to help me write my code.
It's sort of like an instruction manual with all the information you need if you're stuck. Specifically with the Python course.
I love the way they structure it and how they present their information, it's perfect for creative practical learners who are beginners and need that go-to reference if they're stuck (without going down rabbit holes to find solutions/answers).
Trustworthy and accurate
Good tutors and tutorials are rare. W3 is no. 1 for anyone writing code.
Why don’t respond?
This w3shool looks like s….t , they get the money and don’t even respond back when you contact them , I bought the course and cannot even log in , I contact them tens of time they never answer , they are not different then scammers.
Almost 100 bucks for a certificate…
Almost 100 bucks for a certificate nobody cares about is way too much.
The php-tutorial is bad. The questions are redundant and too easy.
I may just be nostalgic but this was the first website builder ive used, and i still use it
Honestly, this is so easy to use, and i even built a stock trader which passively earned me hundreds a week
Perfect website
Iam learning python programming language from this website. It is so much useful for me to understand and execute program's in my college.
This is sooooo useful you need to try it

They did great with the tutorials
They did great with the tutorials! The thing that I would change would maybe making the amount of data in the spaces to be a little bigger, but overall, fantastic!
