Shower enclosure has had multiple leaks.
Visited Vizzini to look at options for a new shower enclosure, shower unit, wet wall, vanity unit and mirror. Chose them as they are close to us and have mid to high end materials. Agreed items and cost was £3627.60 (for materials). They also supplied installer who was sub contracted to them but independent. The cost for installation was £1340. So just over £5k in total. Since install we have had a number of leaks from the shower unit on to the bathroom floor. Both corners have leaked and the installer has been out a few times to add more sealant. I just dealt with the installer these times but we now have another leak so I called the shop on Friday 18th September to advise. The person I spoke to said they could organise an engineer from the shower company to inspect the enclosure and they would get back to me on Monday. I didnt get a call from the shop but the installer called me again to say the shop had told him I had another leak. I have not heard from the shop at all and its now going in to Wednesday. I'm now going to have to foot the cost of getting someone out to look at it as they don't seem interested as they have been paid in full. I had held off with a review to give them a chance to resolve but doesnt look like that will happen as the least they could have done is give me a courtesy call to tell me what was happening. Update 23/9/26 - Still no contact from shop. I have contacted Flair to report the leak issues and await a response - 24/9/26 - Still no contact from Vizzini Update from Flair
Hi David
Please see the fitting instructions attached, there seems to be a lot of silicone applied on the outside of your door and there should be no silicone applied on the inside of a door as the water will get trapped and will have to escape out somewhere.
Can you please remove all the silicone and re apply only on the outside as per fitting instructions, this area is marked in red where to apply.
