Dangerous Charger

Dear Vivanco ,

I purchased a Vivanco charger and cable from Rymans on Regents Street a few months ago . I was advised to buy a 65 watt charger and cable to charge my for my Mac book.
This worked well until two days ago, while my lap top was charging , it made a loud pop , started smelling of burnt plastic and now has scorch marks on the cable and the charger.

I returned the cable and charger to Rymans this morning who say there isn't anything they can do as I don't have proof of purchase and its too far back to search their records. I have bought electrical cables from Rymans before and they have worked perfectly .

I have pictures of the charger and cable with scorch marks on them, but its not possible to upload them here .
I am very unhappy that this has happened . This is dangerous and might have damaged my lap top .
I dont want to risk using this charger and cable again so I have just spent £60 on a replacement charger.
I have written to your customer services dept but have received no reply .
