Excellent products & service; customers for 16 years

We've been customers for 16 years and continue to greatly appreciate the excellent offerings and customer service from The Vitamin Shoppe. Also, its own Vitamin Shoppe brand is of superior quality — we use a number of supplements such as the Fish Oil Smoothie. And, the pricing and sales are the best out there, especially for the quality of the brands the company carries. The customer service in the stores has always impressed us; the knowledgeable and personable staff always make time to answer questions and offer suggestions without being pushy. The few times we've had to return items was easy and comfortable. Lastly, love the points and end-of-the-year loyalty gift towards purchase based on what you've spent that year.

I order wrong

I order wrong, 3 hours later I chat live and request cancel.
Someone named Aya said don't help me. they work very absurdly if you order wrong you will have to accept the damage, without any help at all.

Great products, high standards for quality.

Great products, great locations, excellent in-store and on-line service, high product quality and guaranteed satisfaction on purchases.Over the years I have been very impressed with Vitamin Shoppe. Most importantly their products are top quality, with huge emphasis on meeting pharmaceutical standards. Most of my purchases have been vitamins, food supplements, and protein mixes. Retail employees are well informed and knowledgeable without being "sales pushy". They have a wide selection of products, detailed product ingredient descriptions, and I have always been very satisfied with every one of my purchases.

I've ordered a couple of supplements…

I've ordered a couple of supplements from thevitaminshoppe and all of them were contaminated with HEAVY METLAS like lead, cadmium, arsenic.

Of these supplements, were: cinnamon!,vitamin c gummies, licorice.

Now these exact herbals are known to have high lead content, and unless examined and checked and tested for heavy metals, you will get a lead contaminated supplement.

Just proves that vitaminshoppe doesn't have any quality control in place.

Very disappointing, in fact I took just one pill of cinnamon from the vitamin shoppe, and I experienced neurpathy, and neurodegeneration, by the feeling of the back of my head having needle like aches, and then going into fatigue mood, leg pain, weak appearance, even loss of height! go figure what there is in there.

Aren't we done with companies just ordering bulk powders from china and capsulating them without any heavy metals check or quality control?!

are our brains that cheap for such a company? our nerves? what drives us to life?! even their vitamin c gummies causes fatigue!! what the actual heck?!

Severe frustration. I hope they don't get any customer. again. because this is very unethical and money following company without considering consumers safety

Terrible experience of ordering online from Vitamin Shoppe.

1) Why after signing in with ID and password, they are still verifying you as 'robot/not robot' with these stupid hard to see pictures. Very annoying !
2) They send many emails as part of advertisement, but don't bother to send one last email with info that shipment arrived, like all other companies do. Also they do not provide information about what will be the carrier, which is important for some areas like my.
3) I always used Vita-cost for online orders except this time and was punished for this: the package of goods for above $110 value was thrown near my door, without ringing my doorbell even 1 time. I have founded in the dirt a few hours later. The package was poorly sealed and the package tape was unglued with pieces freely hanging on both sides. When I open the box, I was disgusted with many little tiny bugs crawling inside! So I had to clean up the whole mess.
End of story of how to pay a lot of money for a lot of aggravation.
4) Finally, why VS cannot offer an option for picking up online orders at the store, since they have stores almost in any big city. Walmart and Target does it.

Awful inventory system. Many items out of stock with no notification until days later.

I'm a Vitamin Shoppe customer and have placed many online orders in the past. I'd say about 30% of the time my order is delayed due to items that are out of stock but continue to be sold on their site. Many times, notification of the delay status doesn't come for 5 days or more, and then the expected ship date is another 2 weeks from that point. Customer service reps are friendly but of little to no help as all they can do is repeat what you already know. This is yet another business that will continue to lose business to competitors such as Amazon, who seem to have a monopoly on the best real-time inventory system out there.

Normally my review would be great but not this time.

I normally would write a great review because when I stop into the store I get welcomed in since I am there all the time. This time it is different. I was was on the phone for one hour and my problem was not solved. A supervisor stepped in multiple times and it still wasn’t solved. I asked to talk to different people and that didn’t happen. I asked multiple times for my order to be canceled so I can redo the mistake from The Vitamin Shoppe online order and finally after a long silence she let me know that she was finally working on that. I am so disappointed with everything about my order and this call. I hope I don’t have to call in anytime soon. No one wants to sit on the phone for one hour with no results. I am not happy at all and I hope the customer service staff learns better math and Vitmain Shoppe rules and policies.

WORST website ever

WORST website ever!
maybe I should be thankful for the money I'm saving because I can't order online due to their unstable glitchy website. This is the second go around dealing with problems processing orders online. Last time took about 3months to resolve, I go in store and they tell me, "yeah, we know, others are having the same problem" that time was an issue where order online, pick up in store wasn't available. This time my order is submitted and I even get the email saying we received your order. Then the one that says it's processing, but please wait. Then later I get one saying it was cancelled due to payment issue. Even though it's the card on file, the same card I have been using. Card company, says nope you're card is fine, your account is fine, we aren't even showing anything from Vitaminshoppe trying to process. They have a problem on their side. I've tried to place the order through the app, same problem. I've called multiple times and while the front-line people are great and they really do try to help and be courteous, it is beyond their ability. I get transferred to corporate and go through the whole thing again but they're rude and condescending and wont' listen, they are adamant that it is my card. Now, I'm not only frustrated, i'm mad. So the other day I go into the store and purchase a few items, same card, and no problems. They tell me, yeah, sorry the website has problems. So FIX IT! I tried one last time today to place an online order, same problem... I call and tell them look I just used the same card in store a few days ago. my last online order that processed a month ago was with this card. She tries to place the order herself and can't... apologizes, and again says yes, they've received multiple complaints and tells me she'll escalate it. During all this I had used my Healthy awards, which has not been credited back to my account either... If i didn't live in Hawaii, where options are somewhat limited, shipping is costly and slow, I would never order from them again.

Bad experience.

Bad experience.
They accepted my order with 3 different items, only one of them shipped at the end. The second item was out of stock, and they sent an email about it promptly. But the web site kept showing "processing" (in fact, it still does).
More than a week later they sent me two email about the third item - one read "out of stock, choose something else", the other - "sorry, this item will be delayed, it will ship in a week". It turned out the first email was correct.
The only thing that saved them from a one-star review is a network of brick-and-mortar stores, one of which was able to mitigate this bad experience to some extent.

SCAM UNAUTHORIZED TRANSACTIONS

Worst customer service I have EVER received. I cancelled my account 3 months ago by speaking with a representative on the phone. On the 3rd, $30 was taken out of my account with no email no order number, nothing. I called and was told I would get it refunded that day by a SUPERVISOR. I was lied to and after calling 3 more times, and every time they said it was already refunded. Turns out it wasn’t, and they will not pay back the charge for overdrafting my bank account. DO NOT SHOP HERE OR GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD. SCAM

Buyer Beware with vitaminshoppe.com

Buyer Beware. I was on auto delivery. Someone got into my acct via vitaminshoppe.com and changed the email address and ordered all 5 different items and sent to 5 different addresses.
I called vitaminshoppe.com and they realized it was a scam.
They said the orders that were fraudulent and they were manually ordered. Now sure that that means. You'd think if the user name and PW changed an alert email would go out to the original email or ask for confirmation but that didnt happen.
I had them close my acct. I asked for a refund for the items I didnt order.
The answer was call your credit card company and put in a dispute.
We will help. I called the credit card company and they were blown away that they would make me file a dispute report. It's going to take several weeks to get my funds back. SO LAME and Irresponsible of The Vitamin Shoppe.
