2 bizarre claims

Wow, I saw 2 separate clangers. Palestine apparently spent $1.2 on defense in 2024. Nobody would claim their domestic security was a military. I mean, like, nobody.

Meanwhile, they claim Palestine suffered fewer deaths than Ukraine. Sure, if you include Russian dead. Otherwise, once again, nobody would claim that. In fact it is so inaccurate that it's hard to see how even a biased reporter could pen it.

These jumped out as being just bizarre. I wonder what else is misrepresented.

Poorly researched and misleading data, frequent errors and no corrections noted

Frequently releases poorly researched data. In a work life balance graph for example they said Sweden had 16 weeks of maternity leave at 75% salary in a comparison of maternity/parental leave between different countries. That's obviously false since Sweden has from 56 weeks of parental leave at 80% of the salary (of which the father must take 12).
There's no contact form link from the article itself to easily supply corrections to the articles either, which shows that visual capitalist is not interested in feedback. When I dug around on the website for a contact form I finally found one, only it didn't work and I got a technical error when I pressed submit.
Do not even visit this website. As the data is poorly researched and misleading.

Great visual info publisher - but who funds them?

A lot of detailed info distilled into understandable graphics. However, their backers seem to be almost exclusively big players in the mineral, mining and natural resources industries. This brings into question the veracity of their published data. If they could take on at least one significant environmental organization as, I dunno, an "advisor" it might help. We can't of course just assume their data is biased in favor of the mining industry, but we also can't know it isn't.
