I am writing this because I am genuinely terrified and exhausted. Selling on Vinted has become a source of severe personal distress and panic attacks. What should be a simple marketplace has turned into a system where I feel I am being robbed by broken algorithms.

The Problem: Historical Ignorance
Vinted’s automated authenticity filters are flagging my genuine, vintage items as "counterfeit" simply because they lack modern brand tags. The AI fails to account for historical reality: I am selling items from the PRL (People's Republic of Poland) era.

The Context: In Poland, modern trademark, copyright, and intellectual property laws were not established until 1994.

The Reality: High-quality, authentic pieces from the socialist era often had internal factory stamps or no branding at all, as the concept of "brand labels" didn't exist in the way the West defines them today.

The Fear: Losing Everything
Because the algorithm is so rigid and poorly programmed, I am in a constant state of fear that:

I will lose my money: My funds are being withheld based on false "authenticity" flags.

I will lose my items: If a sale is canceled and the item is marked as "counterfeit," I risk the item not being returned or my account being permanently nuked.

Final Verdict
Vinted is currently unsafe for vintage sellers. It is a platform that prioritizes flawed AI over human history and common sense. If you are selling unique, historical pieces, be warned: the platform may treat you like a criminal simply because their code doesn't understand history before the 1990s. I am terrified to continue using this service.

When it comes to the Vinted platform, I don’t have much experience as I have only made a small number of sales. However, based on what I have observed, there are several things I do not like.

Accounts of my friends are being blocked for listing items without a material composition label, even though this is not a store but a platform for selling used clothing. In many cases, such labels are simply cut off or damaged during normal use.

Listings are removed with the explanation that the photos were taken from the internet, but without showing which website they were supposedly taken from. As a result, the seller has to prove that the item actually belongs to them.

I wonder what the main goal of this platform is – supporting sales between users or blocking accounts.

Another issue, which I think is the most important: it seems that the system mainly protects buyers. Sometimes buyers edit photos (for example using AI) to show alleged damage to the item. In such situations they can receive a refund and keep the item, which is very unfair. Because of this, sellers are often afraid to list their items for sale.

In summary, such practices discourage me from using this service.

so dissapointed that vinted is blocking users for adding to many new products ike beuty products, but they only allow to add new ones. Weird

User friendly app, fast and intuitive

Tragedy. Their bot is banning acount while selling even one book with the information that it is commercial sale. It is a nightmare how it works and nobody reply to the messages. It takes 6 days before there is response

Works great, very intuitive and easy to use for both sellers and buyers. Feels great that things you no longer use can be used again by someone else it’s great for environment and for our pockets and lastly also helps cleaning your house. I will be recommending this for sure!

Love selling in this platform but down side is, it's only protect buyer much more than seller. I would think it is more reasonable for buyer to receive payment if they return the product when seller also receive it and in case of missinh product, both parties should bear half of the cost. Because there are moment where buyer forgotten to receiver it and it was return to seller and it waste seller time and effort to pack and box it then before seller receive back the return product, buyer already receive their money while seller have to wait for weeks before they can receive their products

I’d like some plese where i see only saleed things and marked wich i send for buyer

I have a lot of clothes on my wardrobe but only few have maybe low view. The rest of my clothes has 0 view which excludes possibility selling of sth. Selling things on Vinted is really hard.

I just love Vinted! I found buyers here very quickly. Another cool feature is the option to use your balance as a discount when purchasing products.

Vinted lacks a basic multi-item listing feature. If I have 5 identical, brand-new items, I have to list them one by one, which often triggers "duplicate" flags from the bot. It's incredibly inefficient.
​Additionally, there is no option for seller-paid free shipping. I would gladly cover the shipping costs from my earnings to attract more buyers, but the platform doesn't allow it.
