Excellent service I use it 3-4 times a year and the standard of service is first class . Quick turnaround and the cars are always excellent.

Do not use. When you return the car, they will not inspect it with you. They do it afterwards. Luckily, I took a video if the whole car. They then sent me a photo which they claimed showed damage to a front bumper. It was wiped with dust. Despite sending them the video which showed no damage, they said they couldn't use because it didn't have a date. Baloney. When I threatened to fill out a denuncia and contact the guardia civil, suddenly they refunded the 120 € they had fraudulently failed to return from deposit. I suspect they do thus with all customers who refuse to buy their own insurance. Dishonest practices. Dodgy company

They charged us for damage 3 days after we had returned the car & having told us they were happy. I consequently claimed on the full comp insurance that I had taken through the independent booking agent. They kept trying to sell me insurance knowing I had already purchased it at the time of booking through an independent agent. It was clearly a scam. Now I video the car both on pick up & return. After years of hiring cars in Spain without insurance i fortunately made a decision to purchase it this time, call it luck or foreshadowing but I will pay for insurance as no longer will I trust the smaller rental companies.

Warning about VictoriaCars! When picking up the car, all pre-existing damage, including the front left bumper, was clearly noted on the inspection form by their own staff. Yet they are now trying to charge us for damage we did not cause.

The car return inspection was not conducted with us present, but only later by a supervisor, increasing the chance of false claims. When I mentioned this to the staff member, she said: “oh don’t worry, I see on the form there are a lot of damages on the car”. A completely unfair comment, as they still charged us for damage that was already present.

Additionally, the full €1,000 security deposit is immediately withdrawn from your account, unlike other rental companies where it is first only reserved. The security deposit and fuel deposit were eventually returned, but not in full, and only after a long wait and sending multiple emails.

They ignore their own inspection forms, place full responsibility on the customer, and are extremely unprofessional and misleading. Not recommended at all. We rent 5-6 times a year cars in Alicante and this was our worst experience ever! NEVER AGAIN

It all started off so well with efficient pick up good customer service when picking up the car and even at drop off when we handed the car back. Vehicle was inspected with no issues found and full fuel tank. I was waiting to revive deposit and money back before leaving a positive review.

Sadly, two weeks later we received an email with pictures depicting damage that was not present when the car was handed back and inspected by a Victoria car's representative. The car with over 60,000Km already had plenty of scuffs and scrapes on it. The bill was just over 100 Euros and told to make a claim on our insurance using enclosed documentation. I do wonder if one star reviews are from those that have their own insurance and five star from those that purchased insurance from Victoria cars?

What is most interesting here, is that the car was dropped off on 1 January and the date and time stamp for the photo's showing damage was the 2 January, so over 24 hours later.

I challenged and received a reply stating car was inspected same day it was dropped off! I have now asked for them to prove the damage did not occur in the 24 hours after the car was dropped off and inspected by Victoria cars. This is made worse as the representative had no issues as the damage was not present. He checked that damaged area too with his hand!

I am still awaiting a reply on that and how they can inspect the car one day, say it is fine. Then 24 hours later take a photo of damage, alleging we have caused it.

The best advice I can offer is avoid or assume you will have a damage charge levied on returning the vehicle. After nine years or hiring cars abroad this is the first time EVER we have had a damage charge as well. Overall, this raises questions around honesty and integrity factoring in content of other reviews on Victoria cars.

We ended up having to do a chargeback with the credit card company, this practice seems rife in Spain sadly.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Always charge you extra money for diesel potential screeches that doesn’t exists. Scammers . They don’t check your car straight away you have to wait a week and then they find issues and charge you money . Unprofessional , one of the worst company in Alicante. I been renting cars from more then 20 companies but VICTORIA is not good at all . AVOID !!

They refused to check my car when returning it. I therefore took fotos to document that there were no new damages, but that what exactly what Victoriacars clamed 3 weeks after! Total scam, WARNING!
They responded as follows when I presented photo evidence that I have not added any damage:
Dear customer,
Our staff took the evidence after the contract had ended, following the order in which all clients returned their vehicles. This is the standard procedure and part of their duties. Unfortunately, without clear poof that the charge was made in error, we are unable to review or investigate the case further.
We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Stay away I return the car with full tank they took 146 euro and only paid 76 euro back😡 When I pick up the car the guy just leaved when I show all the marks.

We hired a car from Alicante airport. Pick up was good but on arrival at the office the girl that dealt with us was very rude and wouldn’t explain anything to us. She spoke to us dreadfully. We returned the car on time during office hours. They refused to check the car. Said it would be done in 7 to 10 days. Again very rude and abrupt. As others have reported they take the deposit money and fuel money from your credit card. Most other companies leave it as pending. It has now been 14 days since I returned the car and no sign of the €1000 deposit or the €80 for fuel. I called them today to chase up my money and they said it would be at least 4 weeks. Dreadful company. I will never go near them again. They totally spoilt my Spanish experience. Horrendous. If there was minus stars I would give them

Have rented a car from Victoria Cars for several years and have only had positive experiences. Never any hassle with insurance and payment. Recommended!

Do not hire a car with this company. I hired a car for 1 week in November 2025. The car itself was fit for purpose, had 56,000 km on the clock so had a few scrapes and dents.

The first red flag is when they take €1000 deposit from your credit card. They don't put a "hold" on the card, they actually take the money. I have hired around 50 cars throughout Europe and this is the first time that this has happened.

On collection they just give you the keys, there's no walkround to confirm damages with a staff member. On return of the vehicle, I dropped the keys off to be told by a female staff member that nobody is available to check the car for damages, just someone who could check mileage and fuel level. A man got into the car, checked the fuel level and mileage and drove the car away. Why couldn't this same member of staff have walked around the car with me?

A few days later they emailed my with a €130 charge for damages. I wasn't going to accept this so immediately responded to them with evidence.

My advice is if you hire a car with them is to take a video of the car at pick up and drop off. Walk around the car slowly and film the whole car. I then sent them these videos when challenging their scam charges. I also contacted the broker Discover Cars in the UK, who i booked the car through. They were excellent and also pushed Victoria Car Hire on my behalf.

I received a refund a few days later. Please do not accept the charges if this happens to you. Challenge them, contact your broker if you didn't book directly with Victoria Car Hire.

I was prepared to take this further if I had to. The Spanish Police have an online complaint form. I would also have contacted the European Car Rental Conciliation Service (ECRCS). They act as an ombudsman-like body for cross-border car rental complaints within the EU and UK. Lastly, I would also have contacted my credit card company to claim fraudulent charges on my account.

I took out a car hire excess policy, however didn't think it was fair to the insurance company to make a claim.

So if you're in this position with this company, please don't accept the charges.

Great service. Hired 2 cars from VictoriaCars Alicante in October/November due to extended stay. Cars were clean and well maintained. Booked through Discovery Car hire so had to leave a deposit for fuel and security deposit. All deposits were returned 14 days after returning car. Overall the experience was excellent.

I have rented a car from 05-10-2025 till 13-10-2025 at Alicante airport. The rental company was Victoria car rental. this is the most horrible experience i ever had. at their office one of the worker who gave me the keys ,refused to mark the dents and damages on the car which i have pointed out. anyway i had my own insurance and before driving away i took photos and videos of all damages i have found. on 13th of october i returned a car and one of the worker has refused to check a car . just i was told no need to check because a car has a lot of scratches. i have taken photos and videos again. after 3 weeks i have received an email from victoria car rental saying that 104 euros have been deducted from my deposit because front bumper has a scratch. i have checked photos the ones i took on 5th of october and also the ones i took on 13th of october. they were identical . i wrote back to them and explained that the damage was on the car before i drove away on 5th, and heres an evidence. also have explained that every photos have date and time to check when they were taken. it becoame a nightmare. They dont even know how to check photos and accept their deliberate intention to obtain money from me and other customer's .after sometime i mention that ill be reporting this issue to guardia civil or local police and also will be taking them to court. immediately i have received a refund and apology. to all customers ---do not accept apology----report this company to the police and demand a compensation of minimum 5000 euros. this is a law in spain, do not be fooled, know your rights, dont be intimidated by victoria car rental or do not rent from them!!!!!!

Horrendous. Refused to inspect car upon return and then took money off my excess deposit for alleged ‘new’ damage. Also took money off for fuel as I had fuelled up in next town despite it having more range when returned than it did on collection. After telling them I had photos of all damage at time of collection, and many emails later, they apologised and advised they’d return my money. Do not use, no matter how much cheaper they are. They are cheaper as they undertake this type of practice.

I am still waiting for my deposit return. I have tried to contact them numerous times but no luck. It is now almost 3 weeks after the return.

Very friendly on pick up, car was very average with numerous scratches and bumps, we took photos and a video of EVERYTHING, we have been visiting Alicante for 20+ years, NEVER had an incident with car hire until now! Returned the car with little extra mileage because we didn’t use it much, full tank as agreed, told us to get on the bus and would check the car later, 2 weeks later they deducted $68 for a scratch that was already present when we hired it!! We called a number of times, woman very rude and not interested, we are currently in dispute with no refund as yet, luckily we have full photographic evidence and a video. date and time to prove the inch long scratch was present on pick up, we will take legal action if this is not refunded and have informed our Bank , absolute scam and evident by other reviews that this is a frequent swindle to make extra money , shame on you Victoria Cars, DO NOT HIRE CARS FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!

They took 98 euros off my debit card for petrol. Then they took 1000 euros from my credit card.
After pursuing my money , I have just received 83 euros and 985 euros all on my debit card.
They blamed the bank charge for 15 euros but didn't explain the rest.
Fortunately I got most of my money back , a lot of people don't.

Kia Ceed rented October 20th in Alicante. Very nice stuff, especially Carlos Munoz, who was gentle and clear. I rented a car for the first time in my life, so I was a little nervous. Everything went quickly and was understood. The price was acceptable. The car was good and on the end I lost my cap at the parking and Victoria's driver picked me up to get it back. Rented car 8/10/25 - 13/10/25 at Alicante Airport. The company actually took the security deposit from my husband’s credit card on the first day of the rental. Took it, and charged it to the credit card, did not hold the details as other rental companies do.
We returned the car with no damage and were assured that we would automatically be refunded our deposit.
2 weeks later we had heard nothing from the company so I emailed them. They had had our deposit for 3 weeks.
The following day we received an invoice claiming damage to the car, with an undated photo as evidence. This was 13 days AFTER we returned the car.
The company charged us 130 euros (does this sound familiar?) for the supposed damage.
I contacted them about this, but they just resent the invoice.
I feel this is a very dishonest way to do business. I searched for reviews for Victoria Cars on Trustpilot and it seems that very many of us have been treated and scammed in the same way by this company.
I have reported this to BBC Watchdog. Do not use this company.
