Very dishonest.

Very dishonest and opaque company to deal with. We have been dealing with a subsidence issue for several years now, and they have proved to be both obstructive and mendacious in their communications around this. Furthermore, we recently had roofing and front door repairs incurring significant out of pocket expenses, and many of the original issues have not been solved.
In short, I urge you all to think twice before engaging with this company.

Absolutely appalling company

Absolutely appalling company. We have been trying to deal with a subsidence issue at my property which VFM manage and they have successfully avoided dealing with the matter for over three years!!

Each time I get in touch to ask for an update the issue has been handed over to the newest member of the team - who begs for time to understand the case and cycles through a well used library of excuses.

VFM also invent service charges which do not exist, such as cleaning services and property inspection visits.

They also add exploitative administration fees, like the £30,000 admin fee for arranging our recent roof replacement - which remains unfinished (6 months on) and still leaks!

Avoid this company like the plague!! Unless of course you happen to be an unscrupulous landlord - in which case, they're the perfect partner.

Suspect Testimonials

None of the testimonials on their website check out apart from one on the top of their list. They are either terminated or the estates don't exist. Some have no record whatsoever of VFM being agent. The director, Mr Dyer is the proprietor of Gleneagles where a number of the testimonials come from. He highly recommends himself. Fuming! A complete waste of my time!

Unbelievably Bad!

Despite many emails, phone calls we NEVER get a response!!! VFM took over our block almost a year ago and the only person that ‘appears’ will not respond EVER. It’s a pity the Directors didn’t check the reviews beforehand. It’s a complete shambles.

Good block managing agent

Since arranging our freehold purchase many years ago VFM have successfully completed roofing and decoration works at our property. Their team is easy to deal with and the property managers seem knowledgeable. Russell who is one of the directors, providing surveying advice which saved us employing expensive external consultants.

Steer clear of this company

Steer clear of this company. They have no respect for their clients. I am about to make a formal complaint to them because they are totally ignoring emails from service charge payers. Appalling lack of professionalism and common courtesy. They deserve to go out of business.

VFM...total shambles!

We were a self managing our block of flats and decided to appoint a management company to take over day to day responsibility. After a very promising sales pitch to get our business, it led us to feel we had chosen the right company to take on the management of our block. Alarm bells rang instantly when it took three attempts to send us a contract with firstly our company name and number. It was a company we had no knowledge of. The second version had right name, spelt incorrectly, and still wrong company number and contact person.Third attempt got it right. From that point on communications were ignored, despite several attempts. Eventually we were forced to write a letter and send by recorded delivery. A shrill and defensive reply eventually received, with promise to try to improve their communications. Our next need to contact them was met by same wall of silence, and this was regarding an instance of potential subsidence, donor a trivial matter. We have now given them notice and are currently trying to get an invoice they've raised cancelled, and our money refunded. VFM has charged us for their time dealing with a company they appointed to do a H&S and fire report. It wasn't fit for purpose, contradicted it's own recommendations and omitted most if the information we provided in advance. We refused to accept it or pay for it. VFM then decided to charge us for their time dealing with their contractor. This wasn't requested by us, more a matter for VFM to resolve with their contractor.
They have poor internal communications, messages not passed on. Are defensive if asked to improve, assuming you get a reply. Whole point of appointing them was to manage our block. Using them has taken up more time than self management. We received no financial information for the entire year. We are referring their conduct and raising of erroneous invoices to the Property Ombudsman.
