Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

I had to take my cat to Vets Now in Staines late at night when he suddenly became very poorly. It was a very distressing experience as sadly my cat had to be put to sleep but I'll never forget the compassion and kindness of the brilliant vet Rebecca (Becky) who dealt with him that night. She explained everything that was happening so patiently considering how upset I was and both the nurse working with her and the receptionist were also lovely. I have full confidence that everything was done for my cat that could have been under the sad circumstances and he experienced kindness to the end.
I was very touched when following his cremation, I collected my cat's ashes from the surgery a couple of weeks later to find that his paw prints had been put on to a card for me which I hadn't expected and will always treasure.

Absolutely do not visit this establishment, they are a predatory business who pray on the pain of pets and owners and rile animal up just to sell you more medicine, while laughing. Go to your local vet instead of this disgusting money hungry place... DO NOT VISIT NO MATTER WHAT.

DO NOT VISIT THIS VET!!! if you can, just go to your regular day vet instead. i was charged £345 for an incomplete checkup; i brought my cat in with concerns of a urinary blockage. they only managed to check her heart rate and temperature which is ridiculous for almost £400. my cat has also never been this upset after a vet visit which makes me think they rile pets up on purpose to milk extra money for sedatives out of owners. the staff were also finding my cat’s reaction quite funny which was frankly disgusting. do not visit this practice and save your money. i can’t believe i was charged to is much for something that would cost £60 MAX at a regular vet. it’s understandable to charge more as it’s an emergency practice but this is just disgusting.

Excellent service and the vet was phenomenal. Very happy with my visit. It’s a pity I live far from this Vet or I would definitely swap.

The vet that treated my dog was lovely and extremely helpful. However, the process that has followed that has been extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. After my dog was treated I was pressured and taken advantage of into paying a £35 admin fee only for them to do no leg work and not having submitted my claim 6 working days after I completed their form. My insurance advised that the fee is not normal and should not be happening.

At a time of stress the staff were very friendly and efficient ensuring that my dog who was already in pain felt safe and comfortable while being examined. I was grateful that this practice was open on a Sunday. Thank you.

The vet that evening - Lucy was actually amazing. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
My only issue with my visit was the price. Rather over the top even before you walk through the door.

Took our pug in after a fall and had to sit on the waiting room floor for 2+ hours before being seen. The Vet was pressurising us to have our pug put down due to a neurological issue. We refused this and visited our usual vets, and have been told he has just hurt his elbow! Spent 2+ hours and almost £500 for an incorrect diagnosis.
On the plus, The nurse that completed the triage was lovely and very compassionate.

Excellent service, superb treatment of my girl, who had to have an emergency Caesarian.
A bit scared at first as I did not know who was going to be treating her, but the vets skill was second to none and the nurse was very experienced.
