Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Staff helpful and friendly. Just the price I dreadful. Was told to take insurance and the cost could be added onto that but when I arrived they demanded the money.

Paid over £400 and £300 being to see my dog who was in pain and the vet couldn’t have cared less about my situation and didn’t seem one slight bit interested
The only time he was happy was when we was building my invoice to pay
Lady at reception was nothing but nice and really relatable
But the bloke vet wasn’t a good vibe

The service was good however I feel they are taking advantage of desperate pet owners, charging ove £300 just to see the vet the over charging on meds. I’m sure many people can’t afford such extreme prices so their pets are left to suffer.

Excellent service from an excellent receptionist and excellent vet at a time of great worry and upset. Understand that the OOH fees are high but, for us, it was well worth it for peace of mind and the help our cat received was amazing. Would have been a very long night for us, and our cat, if we had not been able to go to Vets Now for help. Thank you

Staff friendly seen quickly.Vets explained everything they were doing and kept us aware of cost. Phoned us to keep us updated on how pet was doing and when we could collect him.

We had to bring our cat in on Sunday due to sudden swelling on his face, and the care we received was excellent. The vet who saw us was incredibly kind and gentle with Henley, taking the time to carry out all the necessary checks and clearly explain that it was likely a dental abscess causing the issue. She was reassuring, professional, and genuinely compassionate.
The receptionist was also very friendly and welcoming, which made a stressful situation much easier to handle. We were seen promptly, and the whole team made sure both Henley and us felt supported throughout the visit.
The only downside is the cost, which is unfortunately expected with out-of-hours services, but aside from that, the level of care and attention was outstanding. I would absolutely recommend them for emergency situations.

The team were friendly, accommodating and professional. It was out of hours but I was seen quite quickly and was listened to and my opinion felt valued and respected. My dog was put at ease and treated gently and with kindness. Perfect experience when in an anxious situation, thank you.

Our experience from start to finish was excellent. Staff were very friendly, caring and professional in their care and advice and all the updates they gave whilst Jasper was with them.

I preferred their previous location as more central and easier to locate but the staff are good and for emergency service can’t fault results.

Very expensive as used out of hours ( 1230hrs on a Saturday afternoon ) £300 just to be seen.
However the staff were very friendly and the vet was great, she listened to me and answered my questions fully.
My dog received first class care and attention, they also sent info to my insurance company quickly so I only had to wait a week to get my money paid back.

My first ever experience was on Boxing Day and I found it to be so extremely well organised and professional (Xmas Emergency Service). From the initial contact to our visit we were very well looked after by Reception staff, Nurses and of course Vet at the practice we attended. Both our pet and ourselves were extremely grateful for their assistance.
A special mention with huge thanks and gratitude to Tasha for such amazing help and advice - it was really appreciated.
