Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Ridiculous prices for consultation. Borderline robbery. No way should a emergency sunday appointment cost 302.50 before any treatment or antibiotics.

Think of a number and double it.

The staff were excellent at Vets now, lovely and friendly. The service I received was excellent and very efficient.
The only downside was the cost of the treatment and having to pay up front before your insurance claim.

Ensure you know what you are being charged for.
I was told my cats teeth cleaning would be circa £900. I queried this twice and eventually it was confirmed that a £300 extra charge for blood tests and blood pressure had been included to the circa £600 teeth charge.
The same had happened to my daughter a week or so prior to this. Fortunately I was able to advise her before her cat was treated, saving the £300.

The service was good but the price was extortionate

Saw us straight away after a dog attack. Full check over and meds dispensed quickly

£300 for 10 mins consultation is not good value. Was quoted £1500 for work that was done by another vets at less than half the price. I don't normally post reviews but this shocked me.

Appalling service, will never use again. 2 owners left without their pets being seen as waited over 2 hours without any update.
We weren't even seen by triage and had to call to get an update!
Receptionist disappeared, assume had her lunch break but again no updates!
Walked around the back of the reception to find a toilet, again no one available to ask.
I also emailed and was met by the vet stating, we have received your email....urm GOOD.

It was expensive , it fell on a bank holiday but the care and compassion shown to Moomoo the cat and me were second to none. They saved her life. I will be for ever thankful they were so quick and efficient. Moomoo and I both recommend.
