Find An Emergency Vet
Pet Care Advice
Customer Hub
Pet emergencies can happen at any time – including when your regular vet is closed.
That’s why our nationwide network of out-of-hours pet emergency clinics are open through the night, at weekends and on bank holidays, so we’re ready and waiting to provide expert pet emergency care when your regular vet is having some time off.
Our pet emergency clinics are the pet equivalent of A&E and our purpose is to give you and your pet the care and support you deserve, at the time you need it most, whether it’s four in the morning or in the middle of Sunday lunch.
Vets Now provides this trusted service to more than 1000 veterinary practices across the UK — from over 60 dedicated out-of-hours clinics and two 24/7 pet emergency hospitals. In total, we treat around 200,000 small animals every year — our highly-skilled team works hard throughout the night, weekends and Bank Holidays. So whether you’re in Aberdeen, Belfast or Portsmouth we’re there for you and your pet when you need us most.
We’ve also pioneered other ways to help pets, pet owners and the veterinary profession, such as our comprehensive referrals service and providing our staff with industry-leading training and development opportunities. We also support the pet blood transfusion charity, Pet Blood Bank UK. Meanwhile, our two hospitals — in Glasgow and Manchester — are home to some of the UK’s leading specialists in the field of emergency and critical care and provide care 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

We came late at night. We were accepted by a friendly vet who provided good care to our injured dog. We were explaned what is happening and what treatment our pet will receive . However, the price was very high and there was not compromise despite having insurance.

We had the recent misfortune of our cat becoming suddenly ill on a Sunday evening. I rang Vets Now to ask for advice after our cat became unwell, increasingly lethargic and unable to pass urine. The receptionist was brilliant, both on the phone and in person, comforting us and helping to ease our concern about having to bring him in for emergency treatment. As soon as we arrived, the team took Elmo in to begin treatment and made sure he was comfortable and safe. The vet was excellent - he made sure we understood what was going on, explained clearly any risks and helped to calm our nerves about the procedure Elmo needed. His confident and calm manner was unparalleled. He managed to walk the line between comforting and realistic superbly, demonstrating such care and attention to detail. We felt more reassured the more we talked with him. Elmo had to stay in overnight for treatment and we were able to call at any time to ask how he was doing and were given a time frame of when to expect the surgery to take place and for a subsequent phone call from the vet to let us know how our little boy was doing. They completely understood our upset and concern and went above and beyond to reassure us. Joe, the vet, called in the early hours of the morning as soon as Elmo had regained consciousness to update us on his condition. The team at Vets Now are whole heartedly dedicated to care - our experience of having visited them for emergency care has proven this tenfold! They don’t just take care of your pet but also the family unit. The admin team took over the responsibility of processing the insurance claim which took a load of pressure off of us during the tough time. We will be forever grateful to the team for taking such great care of our cat and their role in his recovery.

The vet showed no concern for our dog only told us to make an appointment the next day with our own vet gave our dog 2 injections did not examine her paw or try to remove anything that might be in it.
Exorbitant price for less than ten minutes . will not be back
