I will never participate again in an auction from Veilinghuis de Ruiter!
I participated in an auction on 11.10.2022 of Veilinghuis de Ruiter via an internet platform. The strange thing was, that other than for all previous auctions, there was neither video nor sound to follow this auction - this already is negative.
I bet on 3 lots, which according to the internet platform have been sold to me.
3 days later I asked for the bill and received a negative answer for all 3 lots from the auction house - these lots have been outbid by other persons. This in my eyes is not serious.
After asking what happens, the answer from internet platform was, that these items have been proposed on various platforms and they have not been synchronized. This is not a serious performance from the auction house.
Else I was told, that I should at least have one of the three items, but even that one has not been accorded to me - this is legal, but not fair.
I already did a lot of online auctions - also with this internet platform - and always served correctly and fast, but not with this auction house.
All of a sudden, some days later, I got an e-mail from this auction house, saying, that I should now pay for two of the three items, which had been sold to me - they changed the idea...???
Even after questioning, why this information changed, no answer, but again a bill for two items - no explication, no excuse - nothing!
For my feeling, the auction house is not serious - as already stated in some other comments from different users, which I just read afterwards

You can find absolutely amazing things, starting from Asian till Aboriginal items. Exceptional good selection of antiquities. Easy biding process. And definitely great service and attention to detail, with very prompt communication from the auction team with very good explanations and instructions. Highly recommended!

Really great auction house, customer support is super helpful, items are really high quality and so far has been a great experience using their website or going to the auction room during the auction periods

Coins that were proposed for bid were not as mentionned in the answer as i asked for more details (Original or Restrike). The value is of course not the same depending on it. I'm just wondering that a valuator and auctionexpert from an established coin reseller doesn't know that difference ?! However after a not so easy (and suspicious allthough the house sell them to me mistakenly) process before and after returning the coins, they finally paid the money back. So all in all it's Ok.
