Family visit to London

We rented a town house for a week in the Angel neighborhood of London with Veeve. We had a fantastic experience. The Veeve team was always prompt and friendly in responding, instructions were clear, and the in-person welcome when we arrived was very helpful and made us feel comfortable and right at home. Throughout our stay, communication with the Veeve team was great and check-out was straightforward and uncomplicated. We would rent with Veeve any time again.

Fabulous local house

The location and standard of the property in Hampstead was fantastic as well as its size given we are a family of five. It was right in the village, close to everything and was clean and comfortable. We greatly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return.

An exceptional experience!

Everything about our experience with Veeve was exceptional from beginning to end. I fell in love with the apartment in Paris; located on a quiet street, a large, beautifully decorated apartment with attention to detail in every square inch!! The art, the little decoupage boxes in the WC, Lalique glass female nude, furniture, gorgeous floor to ceiling windows with Juliet balconies, incredible kitchen, dining room, formal living room and THE best rain showers in the bathrooms!! I didn’t think the apartment could look even better than it did in the photographs. It exceeded our expectations. Veeve are consummate professionals; I have already recommended Veeve to friends visiting Paris in November. Thank you for everything, it was a trip we will never forget!. Until next time…

A stones throw from Eiffel Tower

Fabulous apartment in the heart of Paris a stones throw from the Eiffel Tower. The neighbourhood felt safe, is in great proximity to bakeries, cafes, restaurants, attractions. Veeve, the hosts were great at keeping in touch altering our meeting time at our request due to train delays. The apartment was beautifully decorated and furnished and very well catered. We would 100% recommend both Veeve and this apartment.

Disappointing stay in Wimbledon Village

We stayed at this property for 5 nights, attracted by its fantastic location right at the end of the charming High Street and just a 15-minute walk from the All England Tennis Club and the Wimbledon Grounds. Conveniently, a Tesco Express is located right across the street for all your grocery needs.

However, our experience was spoiled by several significant issues. The "garden flat" is actually a basement apartment in an old house, which unfortunately means it is damp and moldy. The MOLDY SMELL all over was pervasive, and opening the built-in closet under the stairs released a particularly stronger odor. Our clothes in the bedroom absorbed the smell, resulting in a trip to the dry cleaner for even unworn silk dresses and suits—very annoying. :(

For coffee lovers, note that there is no traditional coffee maker, only a Nespresso Vertuo machine, and no coffee pods were provided.

Cleanliness was another major issue. The bathroom was dusty and grimy, with hair present. The master bed linen appeared unwashed, gross, having a large stain on the white comforter and hair underneath—yuck.

The property is managed by a company that is not always reachable, making it difficult to get timely assistance. For instance, the printed TV and Sky instructions were for an LG TV, but the flat now has a Samsung TV, with a completely different remote.

Additionally, the trash schedule provided was outdated (from 2022), forcing us to search online to determine which bins to take out.

Overall, despite the excellent location, the numerous issues we encountered mean we would not return to this property.

Great flat in a quiet neighborhood

Great experience!

My family rented a London flat from Veeve for a week and we had a great experience. While there was quite a bit of paperwork to complete initially, I found their communication was clear and they were highly responsive to my emails. They were able to accommodate early check in (for a fee). I really appreciated that they has someone meet us at the flat for check in and walk us through all of the details of the flat. While having someone personally perform that task was lovely, Veeve could improve the process somewhat. When we tried to contact the person meeting us to let them know that we would be late, the phone number Veeve provided was incorrect. The person showing us the apartment had turned on a room unit air conditioner but failed to properly vent the unit or mention to us that it needed to vent out the window. To be clear, these were incredibly minor glitches. Overall, I found interactions with the Veeve to be excellent. The flat was clean, beautiful, in a great location, and completely accurate to the photos and description provided. I would both rent the same flat again and would be happy to work with Veeve.

Great location, but noisy upstairs neighbors

Let me start by saying that the flat is clean and in the perfect location. It's an easy walk to the Earl's Court tube station and several markets and restaurants. The water pressure was amazing, and we always had hot showers.

I was pleased that the person to check us in was waiting for us when we arrived (we paid for early check-in). However, the folks back at the office failed to communicate with her on where our flat actually was. She was trying to use the keys to get in the main door of the apartment building, when in fact, we were the basement level with an external door directly accessible. We wasted 30 minutes trying to get in the main door.

There are a couple of things to keep in mind before you rent this flat. The people above us were very noisy, night and day. Like, all through the night. Also, the instructions for the flat referenced directions for how to use the washer and the microwave, but those instructions were no where to be seen. I could figure out the washer, but it would have been most helpful to know by some way other than trial and error which reservoir the detergent went in. The microwave we did eventually figure out, but wow, that took a hot minute.

Our last night there, the people upstairs were on a roll again, being very loud all through the night. Also, a leak started in the room my mom was staying in, and even though I sent an email immediately to the emergency email address, I still to this day have not received a response.

All in all, it's a great flat. But, if the people above us actually live there rather than being vacationers like us, I'd pass on staying here again.

Richmond

The house was great. 4 bedrooms on one floor, kitchen, 2 living rooms, dining area, and outside patio on the entrance floor. There was also a bathroom on each floor, including an extra upper floor, so there was always space for everyone. All areas were ample, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was well stocked, and there was a washer and dryer, even though we did not use them. The location was convenient, close to the tube (Kew Gardens), the buses (on Kew Road) and the supermarket (3 minute walk). We knew the area, so for us the location was perfect, even if we went into London 4 of the 8 days we were there.

I didn't love all the documentation that was required to use a Veeve property, and it was a lot of emails and documents, but we received decent attention from the company, so in end, I think it was worth it.

The property was lovely and in a good location …

The property was lovely and in a good location. However, there was an issue with a leaking ceiling that resulted in water coming out of a light fitting and wetting the carpet below.
The items provided was somewhat lacking. Coffee machine was provided but no capsules.
However, the biggest issue was Veeve contact centre and the lack of support and assistance. The difficulty in getting an answer from Veeve that was not the standard scripted response was a challenge.

A beautiful boho apartment

The apartment photos were very detailed and true to what we saw when we arrived. We were met promptly at both check in and check out. We were really looking for that authentic bohemian Parisian style and fully got that with this rental! It was just beautiful and gave us plenty of space for the whole family to recover from our very active days in the city.

Amazing location
