Spakler Bike send me home without…
I had a very disappointing experience with Spakler Bike. We purchased three VanMoof S5 bikes from them, so I expected a much higher level of service and support.
However, when I came in with an issue, they sent me home without fixing my bike and did not offer a proper solution. On top of that, I was not even allowed to leave my S5 there for repair, which I found completely unacceptable.
Fortunately, I went to De Fietswous on Van Woustraat afterwards. They handled the situation professionally and repaired my bike under warranty without any problems.
This experience shows a clear lack of customer service and responsibility at Spakler Bike. Based on this, I cannot recommend them.

Battery replacement twice great service person
I had to change the battery twice. Now it works but let's see. But the service was great. Especially the technician who worked on the cycle is very accommodating and helpful.

What's with the lights on the handle bar?
Great bike -again- but:
I do not know my speed
It is a guess how much battery there's left
The kick lock needs precision and adjusting

Riders Hub made our experience even greater. We bought two S5’s, via the trade up, delivery was earlier than expected!
All over experience Riders Hub West, staff is great, very helpful, knowledgeable.
Both bikes as well as Riders Hub, highly recommended!
Cheers! Doei!

Looking forward to the unlooking of the speedlimit, because S6, 25 km/h is boring.

Love my bike
Love my bike. Use it every day for errands, getting to the gym, work, supermarket and city strolls. So fun. Great quality. Bike feels very sturdy and I love the power up button so I can overtake people at traffic lights haha

In my vanmoof x3 the shifter no longer works, it gets stuck in first gear making it impossible to use. In addition, the app no longer connects easily, most of the time I unlock the bike with the code because the app doesn't connect to the bike.

Great bike
Great bike. The S6 Open is a huge improvement compared to my previous X3. The motor is more powerful, the shifter runs more smoorhly.
The boost button is still is much fun to use.
I miss the display that shows my speed, the indicators are to vague for me.
The handlebars could be higher.

Coming from an S3
Coming from an S3, the S6 is an improvement. Everything works fine (at least until now), where S3 (that I loved) created constant trouble. The only minus: heavier bike means less autonomy (about-25%).

It’s really a goed bike
It’s really a goed bike. Perfect? It comes close. A belt in stead of the chain could help. But: riding is great and a smile on my face from the first push towards the trip.

WHEN SOMETHING GOES WRONG, IT'S THE SUPPLIER'S FAULT!
We had Electrified S and then purchased the S3. We love them.
We have lost one of our anti-theft nut removal tools (the thing you need if you get a flat tyre to get the nut off). So I contacted Van Moof, who kindly absolved themselves of all responsibility and said
"Hi Aydin,
Thanks for reaching out.
We've got a network of certified Partners ready to handle all your repair needs. Unfortunately, we don't send out spare parts directly, even if you will pay for them. But don't worry: our VanMoof Partners are experts in getting your bike back in shape. You can find an overview of our Partners here.
Please don't hesitate to reach out again if you have further questions or check out our help center."
So I did go to their repair partners. 3 of them. Van Moof's supplier has told all three suppliers in London that they don't have them in stock and have no idea when they will EVER be in stock again.
For something as basic as this tool, that you need when you get a flat tyre, this is an unacceptable response.
I thought Lavoie/McLaren taking over would fix some of the issues. But when something this basic is so hard, I would have to say, great bike, that I will never buy again.

Van Moof S6 a Bike. That, learn it’s Lessons.
I drive my Van Moof S6 for now more than 500 km. It is much more reliable than the S3. And I really like the kick lock the automatic shifting is smooth so for me this is the perfect bike.

Great experience!
Great experience with the insurance, I managed to get a new bike thankfully after mine was stolen and the team kept great communication with me in the process of the search for my stolen one.

Big improvement from S3
Big improvement from S3, my new S6, especially the riding experience, With still some minor issues however, e.g.automatically unlocking from a short distance and registrating my rides. Very curious about the future..

Impressive evolution! 💛 my S6.
Based on my experience with my old S3 (1st generation, 8000km), I thought long and hard about whether I should really buy another Vanmoof.
However, since many of the previous points of criticism (quality, dealer network, aggressive growth strategy, etc.) were, as I understand it, effectively addressed following the acquisition of Vanmoof by Lavoie, a subsidiary of McLaren Applied, I decided to purchase a new S6.
After riding the first 200 km on my S6 in sun, wind, rain, and cold, I have to say I’m really impressed! It’s a huge improvement and rides so smoothly; the gears shift effortlessly, I love the kick-lock, the lighting is great, and it’s so practical for city riding.
So far, it feels much higher quality—nothing rubs or rattles. I’ll post an update after 1,000 km.
