Service provider to access usenet. One year subscription is worth the price. If you don’t actively quit the contract you are trapped for one year by a single in advance payment.

Do not deal with these people!

Product works well, but their customer service is appalling. Had an account for three years with no issues, but when I tried to close the account they tried to charge me a YEAR'S subscription. Avoid like the plague, and if you do join, do not give them your home address...just Google "usenext scam" to see why.

Avoid like the plague

I tried this without doing what I normally would do and check out a company beforehand. I think that they are deliberately trying to con people into thinking that they are usenet, a more reputable firm I believe.

I signed up for a free trial and they took £2.67 from my bank account, I doubt very much if I will see that back again.

I tried to download a 69 meg file, I could have boiled the kettle, made a coffee and drank the coffee before it finished downloading.

Please avoid like the plague, I shall be canceling my debit card tomorrow, reading all this.

They’re harassing me for payment even …

They’re harassing me for payment even though I cancelled my free trial accordingly per their terms and conditions. I cancelled my debit card because I read about them charging even if you do cancel. I am not paying them and if I receive a letter stating the payment is going to collections all hell will burn lose! This company is a scam and needs to be shut down!

I signed up for the usenext 14 day free …

I signed up for the usenext 14 day free trial before hearing about all the bad experiences other people had with them. I requested to have it cancelled, but it apparently never happened, and now I'm being harassed by them for owed fees that I supposedly owe them, for a service which I never used and couldn't use because the site would not accept my login details even though they were correct. I get to live in constant anxiety over this because of these ****s didn't feel like cancelling it.

long story short... DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. The risk isn't worth it.

STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!

STAY AWAY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!! As other people pointed out they will LET you end your trial but NOT just leave it like that. I've been sent about 5 letters now saying I have to pay 100's of £ for something I've literally never used. Again, STAY AWAY!

USENEXT is a SCAM

I signed up for their 14 day free trial. After receiving the username and password a day later I realized there is no content to download. They tried to charge my credit card but I cancelled the card right away. They threatened me through email trying to collect 150 euro. Their collection company does not have the legal authority to collect money in the USA. So if you are threatened just ignore them. They eventually quit trying to collect the money and gave up.

This company are scammers.

This company are scammers hide conditions in small print and if you don't pay on contract renewal send debt collectors. Just had to pay £150, to avoid negative credit score, not used the service in over 18 months do not sign up You Have Been Warned.

STAY AWAY!

I signed up for the 14 day Free Trial through an app called Verydice so I could receive free rolls. The website is so poorly made that I should have known better. When you go to cancel it makes it appear that you can do so online, but once you get to the end and click continue it says "Please call us to finish the cancellation." There is a toll free number you can use to call instead of getting charged to call internationally. It said you could reach them between 10:00am-8:00pm CET (they don't state that it's CET either!) Today is day 14 so I made a call to cancel since tomorrow they would automatically renew the account and charge my account for the full year up front (I didn't know that until I read a bunch of bad stuff all over google and their Facebook page). Well I called the toll free number and it said they weren't open and then stated the hours they were. I called before they supposedly closed and went by their time. I found in their terms that an email regarding cancellation is sufficient (They have a format on how to word it and what to include on their website.) I added a bit extra to make sure they would have nothing to hold against me- I prefer the email method since I have proof on my end). I also went ahead and cancelled my debit card today so that they have no way to charge me like they have done to others who have attempted to cancel within the 14 day window.

Sure

Sure, their UseNeXT service is good but try to end the contract and you'll find they are like a dog humping your leg. You just can't get rid of them. Year after year, despite assurances from their customer support that THIS time the account has actually been cancelled, they send their demands for another year's payment and year after year they claim the account has not been cancelled in time. Presumably you have to cancel before you sign up. I would recommend anyone to stay well clear of this company.

Avoid like the plague!

Like many other reviewers here, I signed up for a 14 day free trial to gain some silly benefit elsewhere (in my case some SwagBucks in return for signing up for the free trial).

I tried to cancel immediately - as usual - but discovered that, after following the whole "online" cancellation process, the cancellation had to be completed with a phone call to Germany.

I sent them an email requesting a cancellation, but then became concerned that they may still charge my card. Luckily, I had selected to sign up through PayPal instead of my card when signing up for the free trial. I immediately went to PayPal's site and logged in. For those who are unaware, you can block pre-agreed payments from Settings on your PayPal account. I blocked UseNeXT, so at least now I am not too bothered if they refuse to cancel my "free" trial...

Beware of the "free trial"

As others have stated, beware of Usenext's predatory "free trial". Unless you live in Germany, you have to make an international call as the final stage of their "online" cancelation process. If you don't (or if you think you already canceled and did not), they have a lawyer threaten you by email and postal mail with increasing fines. This is WHETHER OR NOT you ever used the service during the trial.

I'm embarrassed to say that I fell for …

I'm embarrassed to say that I fell for their neat little scam as well. I'm usually pretty smart about this stuff but they got me.

Same song and dance that most people are reporting here. I signed up for the trial, didn't really use it and attempted to cancel.

They went ahead and charged me the 95 Euros and now my bank account is overdrawn and I am in financial distress.

Calling them I talked to Anita, who seems to be the only one who answers the phone since she is the same person I have talked to the three times that I have called them. Which they now require you to do with cancellations or disputes.

They refuse to refund my money claiming that the t&c clearly states that they don't owe me anything.

I have decided that I will call them everyday and get them to submit requests for refunds until they submit.

If they do not submit then I will pursue legal action. What they are doi g is wrong and I'm pretty sure they know it.

Do not get suckered like we did. Stay away from Usenext.com

IF YOU ENDED UP HERE YOU PROBABLY HAD A 14 DAY TRIAL

**14 DAY FREE TRIAL**

My partner signed me up thinking it was a good idea, probably turned out to be the worst decision ever made...

One day into my "free trial" and i decided to cancel it, it made no sense to me and i didn't feel like i was going to get full potential of its "services" and since it said i could "cancel at any time" i went through the process and everything was ok until at the very end it asked me to call them to complete the cancellation, strange being as they are in Germany and a call from outside of Germany would be expensive?

I called my network provider and got a bundle that let me call Germany for cheaper than the usual £1.06 per minute. The first call i was on hold for just over 2 1/2 hours and gave up before i fell asleep, my second call was the next day on my work break, and after 45 minutes of holding i gave up again before losing my will to live.

The next day i noticed money coming out of my bank from UseNeXT so when i got home i immediately got on the phone to my bank and told them the situation, which must have been understood as i was pretty much put through to the Fraud Department straight away. My bank has investigated UseNeXT and luckily i have been refunded my money and any future transactions will be blocked.

To say that i'm "put off" already is an understatement, please take caution.

Hilarious attempt at extortion and intimidation.

Signed up for a trial in order to get currency for a game I play. I had a look around the site, decided I wasn't interested, so I emailed useNeXT to cancel my subscription. After a bit of google work, I found out that they would frequently ignore cancellation emails and charge the user 100 euros for a yearly subscription. Due to this, I blocked them from being able to take any money from my account.

I have received several emails from them since. I replied to the first one and forwarded my previous cancellation email, to which they ignored. About 2/3 months after first signing up, I have just revived a letter 'invoicing' me for my 'unpaid subscription'. All I can say I hope the international shipping fee of the letter was worth it because you aren't seeing a penny from me.
