Map feels inflated and poorly maintained.
I bought this Urbex map because it claims to contain 1300+ locations, which sounded like a great resource for urban explorers. Unfortunately, after checking multiple pins, the map feels heavily inflated and poorly maintained.
A significant number of locations are already demolished, renovated, or fully back in use. I understand that urbex spots can disappear quickly, but the amount of outdated entries suggests the database hasn’t been properly maintained for quite some time.
What makes it worse is the multiple pins placed around the exact same location. In some cases there are 3–5 pins for one single site. That artificially boosts the total number of “locations” and makes the advertised figure look far more impressive than it actually is.
After exploring the map for a while, the advertised 1300+ locations feels more like a marketing trick than a genuine number of unique, usable urbex spots.
For a paid product I would expect:
• unique pins per location
• regular updates and removal of demolished sites
• a realistic representation of the total number of locations
Right now it feels like quantity was prioritised over quality. I hope the creator seriously reviews and cleans up the map, because in its current state it’s disappointing and not something I would recommend.
