Despicable experience

There are no signs anywhere giving you directions to this place. I wandered around the University Campus for 20 minutes trying to find it. Not everyone referred there is a student. There are other people who aren't students coming from outside the area. I found the reception which is located in the security building. No one there. There's no point having a reception desk if there's no one on it. I shouted "hello". A blokes voice said " I won't be a minute". He then spent the next 10 minutes continuing his conversation on the phone and I heard him typing away on a computer, whilst I'm still stood there waiting. Eventually he appeared and gave me directions to Health Centre which were wrong, so I had to ask someone else on my way. When eventually at the building, I couldn't see the sign as its obscured by overgrown bushes. Got there and tried to sign in to my appointment on the screen whi h didn't work fir some reason. So I had to queue up for the receptionist. I was on time at this point. The woman in front of me was continously talking and asking the receptionist questions, even after she had been handed a piece of paper explaining everything and I heard the receptionist explain to her as well. This just went on and on. Totally selfish and inconsiderate people like that drive me mad. No concern whatsoever that the queue was building up behind me. The receptionist should have told her to step aside while she dealt with the rest of the queue, normal common sense. Eventually someone else came and took my details and the doctor called me straight away. I was late by then through no fault of my own. Everything is on my record and I have been in agony for nearly 3 years now. The first question out of doctor's mouth was " what are your symptoms". I've been messed about, sent here there and everywhere on the NHS, repeating myself to all different people and this is the question I'm supposed to answer. Utterly beyond belief. I had been referred there by my pain consultant for possible beck surgery. He then tells me that he's almost certain that no surgeon will do it for me anywhere and there's nothing more he can do. Apart from sending me for even more X rays, which I might have to go to Sheffield for! Do them here and send them over for God's sake! Common sense again. Basically he may have just told me no one is going to help me and I have to just spend the rest of my life in agony, which is obviously completely unacceptable and there's no way I can do it. I'm not even old. I deserve to have the rest of my life as painless as possible. Diabolical experience from start to finish. Wish I'd not bothered going. So now I have to continue fighting with the NHS which I shouldn't have to do. I'm glad I won't have to go there again

Fantastic service as always

Firstly the team showed genuine care and helpfulness when I was seriously ill. The support was very much appreciated and it certainly helped in my recovery.
More recently I required assistance having run out of medication whilst having to extend a holiday in the UK. I was concerned being in the middle of nowhere but having found a chemist they arranged a very speedy prescription to be sent which was a great relief as I would have been in a bit of a pickle otherwise.

Thanks so much as always.

Dr can't be Beat!

I have been at several doctors surgeries in my life but this one takes caring to a whole new level. I cannot express in words how focused all the staff are on the customer relationship.

The front line staff are amazingly friendly, efficient and helpful. The doctors always have time for you, you never feel rushed and they really do listen and care about how you are feeling.

Thank you all for taking a doctors surgery to the next level... outstanding.
