Stay away from these scammers!

Stay away from these scammers!
I bought 6 pairs of tights online, they were all damaged - each one was full of runs!
When I reached out to customer service and sent photo they told me they only see partial damage! Why? Because, apparently, identical tights (same style same color) look the same to the on photos, so decided to consider them as one pair! Even though they also see my order and know that a ordered a few identical items. But, they prefer to ignore it. In the first reply they said that out of 5 photos, 2 look the same, but when they got to calculating the refund they decided that 5 photos show 3 pairs (not even 4). And the sixth pair os fine for them, since it's not as bad as the others - less runs and smaller - so, I am supposed to wear it like that - with the runs?
You might as well just throw your money in the trash then buying from them - same result, just save you the time.
Note the reply - they are not obliged to do anything. That's a scam and a lie. They are obliged to provide what I paid for, but as you can see - they don't see it that way. Just another proof for you to stay away. Unfortunately, I cannot add photos here, to show what they sent me and how their "customer service" tells me that "the photos show no problem" on photos of tights full of runs.
By the way - I know the brand I ordered very well, as well as the way their packaging looks. And I have never seen black tights packed in a packs that say "diano" and diano tights in packs that say "black". Yet, that's what was in the package from uk tights. A brand with very good quality tights, that always has them in the correct packaging, suddenly had so many damaged items in the wrong packages, or this seller is scammer that sales fakes?

We have explained this to you in some depth already. I'm afraid that none of the photos you sent showed products with faults.

The occasional product can slip by quality control at the factory but these instances are very rare. Your claim that all 6 pairs from the order were faulty on receipt, was surprising to say the least. Once we saw your photos it became clear that this was not in fact the case.

2 of 6 pairs showed tiny slubs which are normal occurrences in hosiery manufacture and are not the same as runs or catches. (You claim they had runs which is not true.)

Your demand to be reimbursed for the entire order was not reasonable. I have to say, we were left wondering who was attempting to scam who!

Strictly speaking, we were not obligated to refund any items since none were faulty and are perfectly wearable. However, we do our best to keep customers happy, so refunded 3 of the most expensive products from your order as a gesture of goodwill. To respond to this gesture with a scathing review is poor form.

Reviews - both good and bad - are very important for a business, as they give other customers a fair indication of what to expect in terms of service and products. However, reviews must be honest or else they are neither fair nor worthwhile.

I'm afraid that we feel your 2 recent reviews are not only unfair, but untruthful.

You placed an order on 13/02/2026 and an automated order confirmation email was sent to the email address provided. As you didn't see the email, you phoned us and spoke to my colleague to check on your order. They confirmed it had been successful, and confirmed the iCloud email address in the order. However, you claimed not to recognise it.

**Please note that online orders are entirely automated so any personal details can only be provided by you. Depending on the payment method you choose, and your browser settings, some information may be autofilled. Therefore, it is important to double-check all details before proceeding to the payment page.**

Unfortunately, you were extremely displeased when told that the email address differed from what you expected. You shouted profanity down the phone, accused us of scamming you, and then hung up. This was quite a shock as it was unprovoked and completely uncalled-for. Please be assured that there was absolutely no mocking from our side, as we simply wished to resolve the confusion that had arisen, and help you to locate the order confirmation in the correct email account.

As the issue had not been resolved at the point that you ended the call, we phoned your residence to check if you still wished us to send the order. A carer answered the phone and told us they handle your finances, and that you were not permitted to spend money on the type of items we sell. They also said they would speak with you about this. On that basis, we cancelled and refunded the order in full. Your first review claiming we stole your money was posted after you were already refunded.

It has come to our attention that you placed a further order for 1 product, later that day. We were not aware of this at the time, as it was placed after close of business on a Friday, and automatically picked and dispatched the following Monday morning.

We can now see that you have made an additional review about the 2nd order, to say that the delivery was perfect but you did not receive the full order and that we are conning you. You ordered 1 item and received 1 item, so the issue is unclear. Perhaps you could explain further?

As for future orders, I'm afraid that we will no longer be able to sell to you, Katie. This is primarily because your carers have said we should not accept orders from you. However, your abusive phone call and defamatory reviews would have garnered the same result. Our staff deserve to work in an abuse-free environment, especially when they endeavour to offer thoughtful, kind, and efficient assistance with any queries or concerns.

How to trust company, which doesn't send order in full?

Last year my review would be 5 stars, but today I am removing myself as a customer of UKtights. I ordered 5 different tights, only 4 arrived in perfect box. I was busy getting ready for the wedding and after the weekend realised that maybe I need to enquire about missing one. Oh they replied, you got all of them. I said I didn't. Would anybody contact a company pretending didn't get a full order???
I am online shopper for years, but never had experience like this. I am unsubscribing from their emails and no business from me.

You confirmed that the box the order arrived in was sealed and had not been tampered with. Given the busy time you were experiencing on the lead up to a wedding, and that you had immediately thrown away the outer box, delivery note, and product packaging, there was some suggestion that the "missing" pair of tights may have accidentally be thrown away with the other packaging. This is completely understandable. Unfortunately, there is not much that we can do about this, as all 5 pairs were sent and received. We hope that you liked the items you tried, and that the wedding was beautiful.

Abusive customer service

Tights too small: inaccurate sizes detailed. Customer service was very upsetting. I wasn’t surprised to see that the company has such a low rating when I arrived to make this review.
I was surprised to see someone else’s review (5 star) that stated she got tights that she tried on were way too small and the company agreed and refunded her in full. I had the opposite experience. I tried on the tights and I fell in the middle of the size range advertised. But they were 2 or 3 inches small on the waist (I’m a uk size 10). The customer service experience that followed was nothing short of abusive. I was called ‘absurd’, ‘laughable’, my description of how I tried them on was described as ‘totally false’. It really was a very upsetting experience. I took it to the CEO who admitted the customer service had been ‘a little harsh’ but refused a refund based on the fact I had opened the packet and tried them on. Yes I had ; and the sizes were inaccurate and they were too small. Anyway. They are not cheap tights and it was over £60 wasted. Just be aware before ordering that if the tights are faulty they are unlikely to refund if you have tried them on- which is crazy! Thankfully companies like Boden still exist with their exceptional customer service. I was so offended by the ranting of the customer service rep I felt compelled to write this because the customer service rep was so inappropriate in his choice of words and accusations. I have had great products from UK tights but if they’re faulty it’s going to be the customers loss and sadly, in a somewhat abusive manner. This was more bothersome than the small tights. I have just read through many of the reviews here and seen so many of them report appalling rude customer service. More often than not I see gaslighting in their responses. I would prefer not to get a response from the company and his be given up on the refund. I am simply here to warn others as I had no customer rights and my experience with Kyle was quite disturbing and I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through it.
Update - the response from the company does not mention the abusive customer service (which was my main concern) and as expected gaslights everything I highlighted with the faulty misleading sizing. Stay away.

Unfortunately, the crux of the matter here was that, upon return, the tights were measured and deemed to be the correct size. Therefore, as they had been opened and tried on, but weren't faulty, we were unable to accept them for return (in line with our returns policy). We will always do all that we can to facilitate a return or put right an issue, as customer satisfaction is very important to us. However, it is important to note that non-faulty, intimate apparel that has been tried on cannot be accepted for a refund. This would contravene both our returns policy and the distance selling regulations since we would have been unable to resell the product in its condition.

Placed my order through PayPal and…

Placed my order through PayPal and response was communicative and helpful throughout, even when I requested to be refunded for the items that couldn't be shipped immediately as it was out of stock.

That being said, do be warned that refund may not be easy to do for international buyers without a British bank account given the company has ceased PayPal as payment. I had only known this as I was trying to process my refund and had to rely on a friend's bank account to receive it. While I understand the call was made during a noisy environment and my accent can be difficult to understand (which I apologise for that), I also do not appreciate being rushed by Kyle over the phone to get the details out as I was trying to figure out the correct details I should be giving. I can also do without the phone call being so unnecessarily rushed and tense when I can hear his exasperated sighs over the phone. While I appreciate the instructions and explanations given and helpfulness throughout, I hope we can reach a mutual understanding. Thank you!

Sometimes great, sometimes awful

I have ordered various items from uk tights over a number of years and generally they have been very good. However, I ordered some Wolford velvet tights for my partner (her favourites) and a Wolford wash bag last October and the order still isn’t complete. The tights were delivered promptly but here we are in June almost and no bag, no update and no refund. It’s only £20 but it’s the business behaviour that matters especially when things go wrong or not to plan. Disappointing.

Best customer service I've had in…e

Best customer service I've had in years. Sadly i followed the manufacturers guidelines and got a pair of tights that were far too small, i contacted UK tights and they refunded me same day! They said they were aware that the brand could run short and no one should have to be disappointed by stuff like that, turned a frustrating experience into an impressive one. Will be ordering from them again as its nice that they employee such good people and have that attitude, just going to size up in the future! Thanks Kyle

Shocking customer service - they are chronically rude and have not so far refunded my money for the purchase

They failed to keep me informed of the continuing delay for my purchase, so after 6.5 weeks of waiting I rang and asked for a refund. They emailed to say this had been issued back to the original form of payment - 7 days later I rang them to ask where it was they said to call Amex which I did. Amex had not received it so I called UK Tights and spoke with Kyle who was rude and unhelpful - then Dawn their MD who was also rude and unhelpful

Hello Nicola, I'm really sorry that you have felt the need to write such a review. Your money was refunded on 10th December as you are well aware. We also sent you the proof of this but when you rang us and we told you this, you felt the need to shout down the phone at both my colleague Kyle and at me. We did everything we could to help you. We wanted to contact Paypal on your behalf to find out if the funds had been claimed by your credit card Amex but you would not hear of this and then raised a dispute with Amex. They have not been in touch with us nor with Paypal as far as I am aware. This issue lies with Amex I'm afraid as we have done everything we can to get this money back to you.

I'm sorry that you thought we were rude but to my recollection the only thing that we did was to ask you to stop shouting down the phone. My staff, nor I for that matter, am not here to be verbally abused by our customers. It is my job to protect my staff from that kind of thing, so I would ask that you do not shop with us again in the future.

Ordered 3 pair of tights in MAY 2024

Ordered 3 pair of tights in MAY 2024. I Received 1 pair quite quickly, then received an other pair I think was August. Then I Contacted their support in August asking for the last tights I was waiting for, was told as thet told me for months to wait for 2-3 weeks as they are awaiting stock. As you guessed it, nothing arrived and contacted them again in September (told me to wait) , October (told me to wait) , November and then in november they told me they were going to send it on the 18th of november.
It has been 2 weeks now, I have sent multiple emails, but received no reply. I requested the refund , I want my money back. I WANT MY MONEY BACK! This cost me more money as everytime I recieved the package I have to pay 20euros each tights cuz of the border!!!! So not only these tights were really expencive I also had to pay extra 40 euros on top AND PLUS i HAVE A 40EURO TIGHTS THAT I'M STILL WAITING FOR!
Be aware, that this is a fraudulent company, who takes your money and does not send you the products and then ignore your messages!!!

Fraudsters

Ordered 4 pair of tights in June 2024. Received 2 pairs quite quickly, then received one more pair in couple of weeks and the 4th pair did not arrive. Contacted their support in August, was told to wait for 2-3 weeks as they are awaiting stock. As you guessed it, nothing arrived and contacted them again in October.
Received a reply from Kyle that they expect stock in 3 weeks. Smiled, and replied back that the same answer was received 2 months ago (in August) and requested the refund.
It has been a week now, I have sent multiple emails, but received no reply.
Be aware, that this is a fraudulent company, who takes your money and does not send you the products and then ignore your messages

Do not deal with this company

Do not deal with this company, if you return anything they will not refund. After numerous phone calls and rude responses I contacted my credit card and got a refund via them.

I recently came across UK Tights and purchased some tights for work. What a fantastic company! A great range of products at reasonable prices, wonderful customer care and prompt delivery at sensible prices.

After trying for years to find good quality tights, at a reasonable price, for my work as a midwife I am delighted to have found UK Tights. Highly recommend this company.

Strange

A few years ago, I used to buy my tights from this website all the time, despite living outside of the UK, since they have a really nice and large selection. I used to be always satisfied with the purchase. That all changed when I decided to order again after a few years (now). I ordered seven pairs of stockings. In the first package, only three arrived. Then, in the second package, about two weeks later, they sent the remaining four. Not only have they not informed me of this whatsoever, which caused problems at the customs office, but the stockings that I did receive came in boxes that were already opened, and inside the stockings were all crumpled up. They have not been used, but I can see that the boxes were opened and tampered with. It's a no for me for future purchases.
