They sold us a zip they didn't have

They sold us a zip they didn't have, refunded through PayPal without telling us and without any communication from PayPal, didn't reply to an email asking when the zip might be sent. When I called they couldn't have sounded less interested and just said 'we refunded it'. When I said that didn't help our customer they said 'we may have it in stock in a few weeks...' Useless.

Product for a birthday never arrived

Product for a birthday never arrived, chased by email and telephoned twice. They said they would come back to me the same day but never did. Awful company and no customer service, avoid at all costs.

Appalling customer service

I ordered a part for a sewing machine in October. The part was advertised as available. Six weeks later no part delivered, no communication. Have asked for my money back. Nothing has happened.

I would strongly advise that you do not use this company.

Not interested in customer service at all.

I visited the Brompton store (same people as the Darlington store), in early September 2019. While there I ordered a light bulb for a machine of mine. Was told it would take '2 or 3 days'. I said there was no problem. He wrote down my name and phone number.
10 days later, I rang to query why I hadn't heard anything. He was very rude and almost shouted that he'd told me it would take a while. Since then.......NOTHING. I did phone once more, but he sounded abusive again, so I've given up. Definitely need some training in how to be polite and helpful to customers.
By the way, you're not allowed to leave a 'review' on their web site unless it's been 'approved' !!!

No delivery after 20 days

Ordered some sewing accessories, 10 days later no products, so contacted them by email and no response. 15 days later I will be contacting PayPal after seeing some success of refunds.
Ultimately, a really poor poor standard from this company.

worst after sales service ever

The delivery time for my product was good, but that was it.
After studying the advice on their website I purchased a walking foot attachment for my Machine.
When it arrive it didn't fit correctly.
I sent them an email with photos explaining the problem.
No reply.
After a week, I sent them another email asking if someone could please look into my issue.
Reply said I bought the wrong part.
I didn't know if I had or not I just wanted assistance.
2 more weeks have passed, I've given up, bought another walking foot from another company, better quality, third of the price, and blimey it fits.
I'll never use these invisible people again.

No product, no comunication, no point

I had purchased some sewing accessories from UKsewing. I had never received any confirmation of my purchase. After couple of weeks of lack of acknowledgment of my order I had sent few emails and called the number on the website numerous times. I had never received any reply, and no one had ever pick up my calls. Eventually I had got in touch with Paypal, and couple of weeks later I got my refund. I am not even sure whether the company even exist.
I strongly advice not to bother.

Tempted to give 1 star but I did at least get a refund

Ordered a spare part which was shown as in stock, not the cheapest on the web either so was expecting a decent service. But there was no confirmation email for dispatch after a couple of days of waiting and website lacked any contact details to chase up.

After some digging I found this:

His story was that the part could only be sent after the 'engineer' had 'found' it and he only works on Fridays but I was immediately offered a refund (hmm, all sounded a bit fishy.) Nevertheless I decided to give it another 5 days but there was still no delivery. I called him again and he immediately refunded - personally I think that they never had the part or any intention of shipping it but why make me wait 10 days rather than just come clean straight away? ... I certainly wont be using these guys again via website or Amazon.

Am really struggling with this company - and all I bought was a zip!

Not that difficult to put a zip in an envelope you might think. I placed the order on 4th Feb - 10 days later, still no update so I emailed them. The response I got was 'as soon as we are in the shop end of this week/next week we will deal with the order ASAP'. Doesn't sound like ASAP to me! WTF. How hard is it to keep up with orders? I know the owners had a baby recently (he used that as an excuse for the delay with my order) but that's not really an excuse is it? Someone has to keep the business running - and if all that means is putting orders in evelopes, it can't be that hard, can it? I am cancelling my order. Unacceptable.

DO NOT BUY!!!

Appalling company. Took forever to send one crochet hook, then sent me totally the wrong size! Did not reply to my claims for a refund, even after I sent it back. So they've basically just stolen from me. Twice.
What's sad is it was to make items for a dogs charity, so they've actually stolen from homeless dogs. What lovely people.
THIEVES - buy elsewhere.

Appalling customer service - will never deal with them again!

This has to be about the worst online company I have ever dealt with. It took them 2 weeks to despatch a small order, even after I had emailed them. Then when the order didn't arrive they misinformed me as to the method of despatch, and for the next 3 weeks continually ignored my emails and phonecalls. Eventually I discovered who the couriers were & got in touch with them myself, and I did finally get my delivery, only to find that they had put the wrong address on it in the first place! I received no apology from UK Sewing and no attempt to make amends. Very, very poor indeed! I will NEVER shop with them again!
