Thank you for providing further information.
As discussed via email, the DBS and police are responsible for carrying out the vetting of DBS applications and any delays are as a result of their process. uCheck provide a platform through which applications can be submitted to the DBS, but beyond this we are only able to escalate applications once they have been in stage 4 of the vetting process in accordance with a Service Level Agreement between the DBS and the police.

Having investigated your application, I can confirm that the DBS raised 2 queries for this, the first of which was responded to but the second of which was not.
The following is clearly stated on both query emails sent to you, “Please note that failure to provide this information within the given time frame could result in the application being withdrawn and the fee being forfeited.“ As a response was not provided, the application was withdrawn, but to be clear it is the DBS who have withdrawn the application and not uCheck.
To make the process clear for DBS applications, uCheck are an umbrella body for the DBS through which you can submit applications. Our platform is for providing applications to the DBS and then managing them once the check is completed. The actual vetting process, any decisions around withdrawals, and any requests for further information during the vetting process all come from the DBS and where required are passed onto you by uCheck. At no point would we make the decision to withdraw an application or forfeit your fee.
Should you wish to dispute the withdrawal of the application, please contact the DBS directly on 03000 200 190, and/or raise a complaint with the DBS via their complaints website.
