I had a generally positive experience…

I had a generally positive experience with Trumerit during my VisaScreen processing. My application was completed in less than a month, which I truly appreciated, especially given how time-sensitive immigration requirements can be. Their team was quick to respond to my inquiries, and when I had questions, they provided clear and direct answers.

While some parts of the process required clarification, I found that being proactive made a big difference. If an application is pending, on hold, or taking longer than expected, they usually have a reasonable explanation — but you do need to follow up and communicate actively. From my experience, maintaining clear communication helped move things along more efficiently.

I’ve noticed that Trumerit has received quite a bit of negative feedback, often related to miscommunication. In my case, I found that staying engaged and ensuring all documents and questions were clearly communicated helped avoid those issues.

Their platform is also user-friendly and updates quickly, which made it easy to track progress. When I opted for the expedited assessment, I received my VisaScreen the very next day, which was impressive. The expedited service is expensive, but if you're on a tight timeline, it may be worth considering.

Overall, my experience with Trumerit was positive. They were responsive, efficient, and transparent when I reached out, and my application was processed much faster than expected.

They are awful !!!!!

They are awful !!!!!! The website is awful! Not user friendly, no app. Limited MB to upload documents and you have to combine multiple pages into ONE FILE to be able to upload and then reformat it!!!BUT WAIT FOR IT... it still does not work! The whole process is SO confusing and complicated for no apparent reason. Have you ever heard of links???? ADD THEM!!!! There are so many that are missing!!!! Whoever is in charge of the creation of their website SHOULD BE FIRED! Hire someone who is young and makes the process less cumbersome. The way everything is set up is ANCIENT AND NOT EFFICIENT!!! If anything it is enraging and frustrating!!!!! Oh and the security questions are laughable lololol. They charge you an arm and a leg for services that DO NOT JUSTIFY THE PRICE! You basically are paying for them to... oh wait, what do they do again? YOU send a request to institutions to send the paperwork to them, you are responsible for EVERYTHING including follow ups. They are only "confirming" that you went to the college or university. It is absolutely ridiculous to charge almost $500 for the services that they "provide". They are a JOKE!!!!!! I cannot believe that they are in business!!! I wish there was another way I can evaluate my diploma! I CANNOT BELIEVE THEY ARE ALLOWED TO OPERATE AND THERE ISN'T ANOTHER BUSINESS THAT EXIST THAT COULD SHOW THEM HOW IT IS DONE. I guess because there isn't any competition, they stay awful. I pray someone else takes over and does it better than them. If you need healthcare licensure evaluation you are doomed to deal with these clowns.

If I could give them 0.5 stars I would

If I could give them 0.5 stars I would. I wish I read the reviews prior to agreeing to work with them. They requested documents and I provided them within a week. Why did they take another 2 months to process my paperwork??? Beyond frustrating. They have very poor communication and response times when I asked for information, not clear on requests either, and they didn’t meet their own stated standards.

Dreadful experience with CGN

I recently applied for the CGN programme and it has been an absolute mismanaged unprofessional shambles from the start. Firstly they delayed my access to the booking portal for over two weeks and continually blamed the exam provider Kryterion. They barely bothered to read my issues submitted through their portal and I got cursory, unprofessional, condescending and sometimes downright rude single line responses making out like I was the dumb one. When I finally got them to understand the issue and fix what they called a "glitch" on their end and was given acccess to the portal I was then told I did not have the required credentials to book the NQE. Another week of back and forth until they sorted that out. Then I was told that the practice assessments they make such a big deal of on their website are currently not available, with no estimated date that they will return.

I am now resigned to sitting this exam with barely three weeks to revise for it, little to no explanation of the format, structure or exam interface, no way to obtain any feedback from practice tests. I was pointed repeatedly towards their handbook which contains example multiple choice questions that are so basic that a 12yr old could guess the answers such as "which of these actions should a nurse take first when initiating CPR?". I would hope a credential that is intended to legitimise you as a world class nurse would have slightly more complex questions than that, so I would be extremely surprised if these handbook questions offer any useful level of preparation at all and I do not trust them as literally the only thing that gives me any sort of clue about the contents of this exam.

I understand that this is the first ever cohort of Certified Global Nurse / Nurse Qualifying Exam and perhaps they will improve their processes with future cohorts but when paying $395 for a process you expect everything to be in place to facilitate it properly.

If you're feeling confident on going into this with zero prep then by all means go for it, but my suspicion is they are deliberately setting people up to fail.

Bad customer service representative

Whomever the customer service representative answer the phones are first and foremost rude from the first interaction on the phone no greeting nothing and a stank attitude.Secondly they have no knowledge of nursing and anything transcript related and they are quick to usher you off the phone with helping.I guess paying $300 USD doesn’t require you help or your questions answered.

never-ending, costly process – deeply disappointing

It has been over a year since I submitted my credentials for review — far beyond the advertised 8 to 12 weeks. The process has been chaotic and completely opaque. They contact a third party and yet expect me to track down the response, even though I'm neither the sender, the recipient, nor even copied on the communication. It's absurd.

Customer service agents appear to have no real-time understanding of the status of my file. I regularly receive outdated information, sometimes reflecting the situation from two months prior. It’s absolutely unacceptable.

Worst of all, if your file drags on for over a year, you're required to pay again. It feels like they've found the perfect loophole — the longer they delay, the more they profit. There’s no incentive for them to resolve cases efficiently.

This is a deeply flawed system, and sadly, one that appears to exploit the very people it's supposed to help. Avoid if you can.

Poor customer service

Any foreign nurses looking to work in the USA in a state that is a Multi State License do not use TruMerit formerly known as CGFNS.

I was charged $485 USD their prices in the Handbook say $365. I received and email I qualified for expedited review at a cost of $425 USD, this is posted in the handbook for $250. And they would not honour it, said I’m sorry but our prices have changed and we have not update all the information. (I have the handbook for proof)

Then to start this process I should have know better when I received the Phone Call from the company on June 2nd after trying to submit my applications online for almost 2 weeks and it not allowing me to as I am a Canadian Educated Nurse but wrote the NCLEX and first license issue was in New York. Therefore it triggered an error messages as they do not review USA nusing licence and USA wrote Nclex.

I have been told the review will take 3-4 weeks, another agent says 12+ weeks, another agent say it will be reviewed in 3-4 weeks and report issued 3-4weeks after review is completed.

They have accepted some of my information as it came in and others they put as received and can not explain why. One agent will say because it is ready for review a different department just received it and didn’t verify it, one agent says all documents are received and reviewed by the same department and all should say approved before it will even been reviewed.

I went with this company as it was suppose to be a highly accredited company and they work quickly. Unfortunately nothing about this process as been quick nor has there been any accreditation to what any agent has claimed.

I should have done the paperwork with Josef Silny & Associates (JS&A) as they guarantee the report to be completed in 10 days. However they do not accept electronic copies for documentation so I was worried with the Canada postal strike that the Mail would not make it or be very delayed. Knowing what I know now it looks like it would have been a quicker option.

SCAM

SCAM! I would give less than 1 star if possible. They set up a requirement that was impossible to meet (required a specific vendor for background checks but vendor form is set up in such a way that a US applicant cannot actually put in a US address to order the check), then for MONTHS would not respond to notes & calls & emails that there needed to be some action on their end to resolve the Catch-22. Eventually I had to go elsewhere & the entire educational equivalency was done in 2 months. TruMerit wouldn't refund my $500 even though they would never do the work necessary to complete the equivalency evaluation. Worthless. Don't use them
