Tried to get auto loan relief for one…
Tried to get auto loan relief for one month on car loan due to surgery. I finally gave up.
truist Bank has the worst customer service of all banks.
Truest bank has got to have the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with. It is ridiculous that they keep you on the phone for a half hour. You specifically tell them you do not want your card canceled and they do it. Anyhow they do not listen. The reason why the customer service calls take an hour is because the stupid people on the phone just keep repeating back what you said to them it is the most ridiculous customer service I have ever had to deal with. I am so furious. I just have to find another bank. I cannot go through this nonsense each and every single month. Worst customer service the worst banking hours. It’s just ridiculous. They don’t care.
Do not bank with truist
I have a checking account with truist and although I only have a debit card somehow my account is overdrawn. When I try to get on the app it comes up with an constant error. Contacting by phone is impossible and truist off times are the only predictable way to address anything. This happens habitually! This is also a breach of contract as banks should not be acting in a fraudulent way. Holding people's money is a theft at best, and this is something that is not the property of truist to seize. Unlawful seizure of funds is a way a bank breaks the law and makes more money off my money, but limit my access to my money.i will be reaching out to the state of Virginia auditing office in this manner and will put a stop on my money.
I see clearly why truist acts this way as their rating reflects a mal habitually to their clients. truist needs to close doors the company is a habitually contract infringement dishonest company that has seen the end of its existence.
I have been a loyal customer of this…
I have been a loyal customer of this bank for years, dating back to when it was SunTrust before the merger with Truist. Because of that history, I expected better treatment and better communication.
Recently, I deposited a payroll check through the mobile app and was shocked to learn that the funds would be placed on hold for an extended period of time. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that the app never clearly warned me that the hold would be this long before I completed the deposit.
Like many hardworking people, I have bills, responsibilities, and obligations that depend on access to my paycheck. Being told to simply accept a lengthy hold because of “company policy” is disappointing and shows little consideration for long-time customers who have maintained accounts in good standing for years.
When I contacted customer service, I was met with repeated references to policy rather than any effort to understand my situation or offer a solution. Customer service should be more than reading policy statements—it should include helping customers and addressing legitimate concerns.
I understand the need for fraud prevention and verification procedures, but there should be a better process for payroll checks and established customers with a long banking history. A bank should value loyalty and provide clear communication, especially when customers’ earned wages are involved.
At this point, I am seriously considering closing my account and moving my banking relationship elsewhere. After years of loyalty, I expected a higher level of service and respect than what I received in this situation.
Highly NOT RECOMMENDED!!
Highly NOT RECOMMENDED!!! stay away from any business with this Bank!!!
No help on any situation to thier customers!!! Only care about Money!
Customer Feedback for Truist Bank (855…
Customer Feedback for Truist Bank (855 Peachtree St NE ste 1a suite 1a, Atlanta, GA 30308 Branch) dated June 16,2026
I recently visited the Peachtree Street branch to complete multiple requests, including obtaining a physical card, carbon copy checks, and a certified check (cashier’s check) for a large transaction from my joint account to pay my attorney.
I would like to highly commend the branch manager, Moses. He was incredibly professional, welcoming, and helpful while assisting me with my card and check requests. He then personally escorted me to the teller window to finalize the cashier’s check.
During our conversation, Moses kindly asked about my profession. When I shared that I am a nurse, he expressed his great respect for the medical field and acknowledged how busy and essential our work is. I agreed, mentioning that although nursing can be chaotic, but at the end of the day we are happy by saving lives.
Unfortunately, the teller who assisted me at the window had a very unprofessional attitude and she made the comment that “not all nurses are busy” and stated that nurses just “walk around the hallways doing nothing.” I was shocked by this unprovoked and disrespectful comment and responded that I have never seen a nurse do that. And then She asked me where I was from in a very stern and loud manner. To help diffuse the tension and lighten the atmosphere, I jokingly asked if this was a police station requiring a mugshot. Moses and I laughed to keep the interaction positive, but the teller appeared unhappy and continued with an unfriendly demeanor. I remained focused on completing my banking transaction.
Her comments and approach were inappropriate and unacceptable. I strongly recommend that as an ambassador for Truist Bank, this teller should remain respectful of a client's profession, just as we respect hers. Her behavior was unacceptable and unprofessional. I strongly recommend that the bank provide her with additional customer service and sensitivity training on how to properly approach and interact with clients.
While Moses demonstrated outstanding leadership, professionalism, and customer care, the teller’s behavior significantly affected what was otherwise an excellent branch experience. I hope this feedback is reviewed constructively to help improve the branch’s service standards and ensure all clients are treated with respect.

Under great pressure and my deliberate questioning and concerns of a suspect fraud vendor kept her cool , called me back and jointly walked through the process and procedure to facilitate the desired outcome.
You might just fix your almost totally scrappy customer service by her and more like her.
Thank you Ms Perez.
I have a personal and business account…
I have a personal and business account with Truist. I never had any problems with them for personal but business?? Absolutely not. They don’t have a monthly maintenance fee because they know they’re going to make money of the fees. They charge $0.50 for every transaction after your 50 limit and the overdraft fees are expensive and they don’t reverse them. I’ve only been with them a 4 months and I’ve accrued almost $500 in overdraft fees. When I asked why the reversals are getting denied they “the system doesn’t tell us”….thats their answer for everything. They don’t know anything and can’t help with anymore.
Worst Bank EVER!!!
I was drawn to Truist Bank because I wanted a more personalized banking experience, and their $400 new-customer promotion seemed like a good incentive to give them a try.
Unfortunately, since opening my account online and making my initial deposit, my experience has been nothing but delays, confusion, bank-imposed restrictions, misdirection, and what I consider extremely poor customer service.
I am 64 years old, and I can honestly say this has been the worst banking experience I have ever had.
At this moment, Truist has more than $3,500 of my money that I cannot access. I have been told to “wait patiently” while the issue is resolved, even though the problem appears to have been caused by an error on their end.
The day after I deposited a $1,500 check at a Truist branch in Southlake, Texas, I learned that my account had been closed because of an alleged fraudulent deposit of more than $15,000. That deposit does not appear in my online account, and I never received any notification from Truist that there was a problem. I only found out because I called Truist after repeated attempts to use my debit card were declined. That debit card, by the way, took 10 days to arrive by USPS.
So now I am left with my money unavailable, no clear explanation, and no meaningful resolution other than being told to wait.
I do not know what the next couple of days will bring, but I can say this: the moment my money becomes available, I intend to withdraw it and close this account.
My advice to anyone considering Truist because of the $400 promotion is simple: be very careful. Based on my experience, this has not been personalized banking. It has been incompetent, frustrating, stressful, and completely unacceptable.
Been a member of Truist for over a year…
Been a member of Truist for over a year my company uses Truist banking have Truist checks they put a hold on my account for five days. Spoke to customer service which was no help at all. Was told that they were gonna lift the hold would be available to me on Saturday today. Call today now they’re telling me sorry for your inconvenience, but we cannot lift the hold worst bank ever never using them again.
Worse bank I have ever worked with in…
Worse bank I have ever worked with in 70 years of using banks. Called their help line because I have not received a loan statement in two out of four months. The Bank's response to my request for a copy of my current monthly loan statement that was promised to
me, I'm still waiting for it 15 days later. People on help line don't know what they are doing and do follow through with offering help. Since they have failed to send my loan statement they are now charging me a late fee even thought I notified them that the statements have no arrived. I am fed up and finding a new loan organization.
Truist bank has the worst customer…
Truist bank has the worst customer service and technology that I have ever experienced. I have been trying to register my account for months to access my account and pay on line. There is something wrong with the information they have and I have tried to explain this to them. They do not care. I am rapidly paying off this loan mainly so I do not ever have to deal with Truist again.
Did Truist just lie to me?
Just went to the local branch to make a deposit into my personal account. To do that the teller needed my driver's license which they scanned into the computer.
When asked why they needed my drivers license to make a deposit into my account the teller said it was to prevent fraud. However, when asked how this protected my account from fraud the teller did not have a response.
At a time when institutions cannot protect personal data I feel that this is an invasion of my privacy. It certainly will be when Truist gets hacked and now more of my personal information is out there.
Also, when the teller could not provide a reason for how this will protect me from fraud - I feel like they just lied to me.
What am I missing?

Absolutely horrible
Absolutely horrible. The female teller on the left side of the two tellers at the Gateway Truist is the worst teller I've ever dealt with. As a whole Truist is a terrible Bank. They owe me a $400 bonus and can't provide any answers towards that particular bonus. Absolutely deplorable
I would never ever in a million years…
I would never ever in a million years recommend Truist for a mortgage. I have an exceptional credit score and a small mortgage. They have asked for a ridiculous amount of documents, including the same documents multiple times. And they ask for documentation for multiple small, stupid things such as a $2,000 deposit in my bank account.
Customer service is non-existent when…
Customer service is non-existent when it comes to Truist. I received a new debit card because it was expiring, but my wife did not -- same account. When we called, we were told that a card would automatically be sent to my wife. IT WAS NOT. After the card expired, we had to call again to get a card because my wife was going out of town. After 15 minutes with an agent, a card will be sent. However, the agent refused to send the card overnight, even though Truist did not follow-through in getting my wife her new card prior to the old one expiring. We will be moving our account to a bank that offers customer services.
I have banked with Truist for many many…
I have banked with Truist for many many years. I have never had to file a dispute until 2 months ago after paying a $3,000 deposit on furniture that was never delivered. I have had to call Truist upwards of 30 times to get the complaint filed in hopes of a refund. I was hung up on, told several times I would receive a call back and never did. I am now 4 months without the furniture I paid for and the bank has still not refunded the $3,000. They have been of no help, no one seems to be on the same page, they just want to hurry and get you off the phone and could care less your money is gone. I would consider other more reputable financial institutions when choosing a bank.
I bank with Chase also, as soon as this chargeback is resolved I will immediately close all accounts with Truist and never bank with them again.
App doesn't work
App doesn't work, was acknowledged by in house banker. Via computer, it lets me "sign in" to make me keep signing in. I cannot speak with an actual person. Closing my account. Worst bank I have ever dealt with. Period. I cannot access my account from ANY device.
Not enough help working inside the…
Not enough help working inside the bank, can’t call local branch call get routed some where else, no one in bank can help with investment options have to speak with someone on phone. Worst ever!
