Previous reviews mentioned cracked baths and a 'blame the customer' attitude from Trojan. My experience was identical but in relation to a cracked shower tray purchased 3 years ago with a lifetime guarantee. My builder insisted that this was the first cracked shower tray that he had experienced in over 30 years, and that there was an inherent design fault in the shower tray (ultra thin and waste positioned in centre). Trojan claimed that it had not been installed to their exact specifications, however offered a free replacement as a gesture. Meanwhile my builder installed a better quality shower tray from another manufacturer. As a free shower tray was of no use to me, I thanked Trojan for their gesture and requested a nominal cash alternative. This fell on deaf ears. I concluded that they just wanted to offload inventory of an unsuccessful product rather than be left with the inventory and be out of pocket cash-wise.
I phoned Trojan direct in desperation as the supplier I had ordered through were being slow to respond: Vicky Giles from customer care emailed me the instructions I needed immediately - well done for having better customer service than anyone else I dealt with this year.
Bought a showerbath around 4 years ago. Could feek the base getting weaker until one day they base cracked. This company have replied accusing us of impact damage where there was no such thing. Will be contacting trading standards as they seem to make their own assumptions up. Thieves.
How / what impact damage could cause a small crack ? Seriously ?
Look at where the crack is and anyone with any ounce of common sense, how can a crack appear where it is via impact ?
Avoid at all costs ,we purchased a bath with a 25 year warranty 18 months ago ,after returning from a 1 week holiday I had a shower and was wiping down the bath to find a small crack on further inspection when running your finger along the bottom of the bath where the crack was you could hear crunching this is a plastic bath there was a bubble underneath the surface of the bath meaning it had not been made correctly ,wolseley who supplied the bath contacted Trojan , Trojan decided that this damage has been done buy impact which was completely incorrect, they did not send anybody to look at the bath nor willing to take any responsibility, ,after further inspection we found an area on the side which you could see light through also ,this product is not fit for purpose and neither is Trojan, I will never purchase anything from them again .We have since had to replace the bath ourselves , which has caused a lot of work to have to be done as the bath was the first thing fitted to the bathroom , everything had to be removed aqua panels, units, etc
Bath seems ok but it was a chore trying to get the missing leg??!! They took a while sending and in the end sent the entire spare parts for the wrong bath - dug through and cobbled something out of the jumble. British made used to mean something so I’m not holding my breath.
