The best company in the world for genuine nautical antiques

I’ve spent a small fortune with Trinity Marine over the years, everything they sell is top quality and more than reasonably priced - and these days in the majority of cases cheaper than the nautical antiques that are on eBay.
They deal directly with the ship breakers yards such as Alang in India and they would never sell reproductions.
The have a fascinating range of nautical memorabilia to choose from and it’s all top quality.

Judge a company by its response to a problem

I think companies are often best judged when there is a a problem. The lamps I ordered turned out to be unsuitable for my needs, I assumed that ship lighting would be okay outside and have now discovered that this isn't necessarily so. The items I ordered were not described as being suitable for outside use but nor was there a note that they weren't. The company offered to take the fittings back but not to give me any credit - this didn't seem a very appealing idea. They also offered me a discount on some very ordinary-looking fittings; I ordered from Trinity Marine to have something interesting not something I might have got from B & Q. The alternative was declined at which point they lost interest in me and my problem. It was a very poor response to a new customer who might have become a long-term client. There are many other items on their website which look interesting but I certainly shan't be buying any of them.

Great little company

Brilliant service - ordered three ships wall lights and turned up next day! Lovely brass lamps - have not put them up yet but I am sure they work, look magnificent.
Great family business. I used to be in the marine industry and their products are the real deal. A happy home for old ships stuff

Amazing and unique marine items to take…

Amazing and unique marine items to take your interior designs to the next level. Very helpful and personally delivered my mirror as I’m local. A great item and everyone comments on the mirror and my other Trinity Marine finds.

Modifying wall lights to hang from the ceiling is not advisable.

Purchased a ships lantern that hung from a chain and a nice aluminium hook. It didn't hang level. Contacted seller - they kindly sent me another which was exactly the same. The suspension point is not in the middle of the light in both cases. I notice from the web site they no longer advertize the units they shipped to me. Despite a couple of exchanges over the last month this remains unresolved. I have wasted £120. Will now go and source a more expensive but fit for purpose marine lamp.

Nice products at a good price together with good customer service

I ordered a ships clock which unfortunately had a faulty mechanism. I explained the situation to Richard at Trinity Marine and he was very helpful and understanding. To keep delays to a minimum he agreed to pay for the clock to be repaired locally and within a few days I had a stylish clock that now works perfectly.
I would not hesitate to buy from them again

It's not good I am afraid

It's not good I am afraid. I successfully selected a particular ships Bell, put into my basket, chose delivery, checked out & paid in full (by Worldpay) for this item. 4 days later, I received an email from Trinity Marine, informing me that they couldn't find the Bell anywhere & had "come to the conclusion that our boss has sold this Bell without notifying any one to take it off our website". They did offer me a refund or a different item - but crucially, when I emailed Trinity back asking them to clarify this with their boss (rather than just coming to that conclusion), stressing that it was this 'particular' bell I need & asked them to investigate further ... I had no acknowledgement nor reply to this email request, or indeed anything further from Trinity until another 5 days had passed - when I just received notification of the refund.
I accept that whilst It's not good practice for Trinity Marine to continue to advertise, sell & accept full payment for something they've clearly already sold ... things like this will happen from time to time (that's life, I guess). I also feel that an offer of a refund or alternative is realistically the only options available to them .... but it was the way that Trinity Marine then dealt with the issue (choosing not to reply & just issuing the refund without further comment) & how it left me feeling, that shows how they really treat & care about their customers.
Very poor service & very disappointed.
