Travstar Ripoff
I didn't realise Travstar was a booking agent. I booked tickets for the Gold Class rail from Kuranda back to Freshwater. When the email came back that the 'request' had been received. I sent an email to them immediately (6 mins from booking) to cancel the request as I would book directly instead. A booking had not been processed at this stage just a request. Two days later, I received an email confirming my ticket purchase. I resent the email to say that I had cancelled the request, I was then refunded the purchase price less 30%!!! When I inquired about this, they essentially indicated that it was just bad luck, as it was in their conditions. I had already purchased from the railway directly, and Travstar had cancelled our tickets, so I ended up paying $70 more than I needed to. Don't use this operator!!
I shared the cancellation email with Jodie on July 8 @ 12:53pm. It should be on your system.
Thank you for the offer to use a voucher but I wouldn't trust using Travstar after my experience and the response.
