Oswentry Room has not been hoovered mud and stones all on the floor.toilet does nor flush away toilet paper and fan in the bathroom is on constant even with light off and door shut Absolutel dive
Just avoid as there is no customer services if you have a problem to resolve.
Parking fine for parking in their car park overnight whilst staying. Receptionist must have made a typing error with my car registration. Travelodge customer services don’t reply other than constantly saying they’re busy. Parking monitoring company won’t listen. Just typical of big corporate body with no care.
Stayed at Bullring Birmingham
Stayed at Bullring Birmingham. Probably cheapest/best value near city centre.
But little room service - carpet never vacuumed despite fluff all over it from bedding. Bathroom never cleaned. Their policy of ‘topping up’ consumables seems to replace room service, but even then I had to ask for more loo rolls and tea bags as the service was a bit variable !
And sometimes the key cards cancelled and had to be reprogrammed.
Had to pay for WiFi after 30 mins free (on top of the room rate - why??)
Oh well - you get what you pay for if you’re lucky.
Travelodge, Ryde, IOW
I've stayed at Travelodge, Ryde, Isle of Wight once a year since 2020 as it's convenient for public transport, plenty of places to eat nearby especially love Wetherspoons and Tony's Fish and chip for eating in. This year I wished Travelodge had air conditioning as the fan provided in the room wasn't very effective as didn't oscillate. My daughter and granddaughters room further down was even 🥵🔥 hotter than mine to my dismay, we had great trouble sleeping and the windows were only open a few inches and clearly couldn't be opened any more. Staff were nice. Please Travelodge, get air conditioning ASAP, yours hopefully as like staying at Travelodge s and we'll always return to stay in the summer hols! Thank you
Riverside Norwich.
Riverside Norwich.
Clean room, easy check in and a calm and quiet atmosphere.
Staff polite, efficient and accommodating, (shout out especially to Crystal).
Good location and everything you may need is nearby.
WiFi is paid as is common nowadays and functional rather than brilliant.
Summary.
Does exactly what they say they will and staff excellent.
Do NOT stay here
Only one star but if I could i could do zero I would. Check in staff and early evening bar staff (same ones) were lovely. That's the positive. The one positive.
The corridors were furnaces and the room. Tired. Very tired. A tissue/wipe under the bed. Eww.
The bath and shower. Not a pleasant experience. Water only got slightly warmer than tepid and zero pressure.
Then the room temperature. Never been in such a hot and airless room ever. No relief from it at all. There was a small.fan but it wouldn't rotate/move as broken so just got hot air.
Bar was advertised as 24 hours. After waiting 25 mins (yes it was 1.20 am but there were others there who said theyd had to wait 45 mins!) we gave up.and went to bed.
All round a grimy, hot, humid and unpleasant experience. I will.never be back.
Stayed at Chester central for one…
Stayed at Chester central for one night. Website confusing on which hotel you’re staying at as there was another travel lodge 200 yards down the road. Use of car park confusing as discount not applicable at certain car parks. Hotel itself was grim. Room felt like a prisoners cell. No furniture dark and cold. Check-in took 25 minutes although no issue with staff. It was clean. I will never stay at a Travelodge again as value for money does not equate.
Travelodge Stonehouse.
Travelodge Stonehouse.
No glasses at all. No aircon. No hairdryer. No bar. No restaurant.
Breakfast apparently served in a box
One hand towel per room.
Supposed to have WiFi included but receptionist not able to sort out.
Never use them again
Parking fine at Manchester Birch eastbound
Stayed at Manchester Birch eastbound. It is on a Moto site and since my last visit about 3 months ago they now charge for parking at £7.50 per stay. I was annoyed at this but then found out I couldn't pay for it because they only have telephone banking payment terminals and I don't have telephone banking. Now I have a parking fine from the parking sharks that operate the MOTO car park asking for £100. Travelodge say they can't (or won't) sort it out for me!!!
I suspect a lot of people will be having the same problem. Sort it out Travelodge, it's not rocket science. If you want to charge extra for parking at least provide people with other ways to pay cos this is ridiculous.
Semi flexi rate no point service
Booked a 2 night stay using semi flexi rate, didnt realise that changing the booking would incur an extra cost of £12.50, adding insult to injury you do not get any refund from the original booking price.
As i said could stay the 2 nights so changed it to 1 night, thought I would save £60.00 but actually you don't get that refunded and you need to pay the 12.50 for ammendment. What is the actual point in the semi flexi rate, may as well left it as 2 nights at least they couldn't re -sell that 1 night. Very disappointed at travelodge customer service and a much used service from us will be no more.
Extremely disappointing and unsanitary…
Extremely disappointing and unsanitary experience at Travelodge Bournemouth Seafront. Found dirtybathroom upon check-in, and staff refused to properly sanitize it when reported. Completely unacceptable hygiene standards.
I accidentally booked myself into the…
I accidentally booked myself into the travel lodge in Kendal a few hours earlier this morning, on checking on line I realised I should have done Kendal town centre. Realising my mistake I rang customer services to see if I could swap it. As I had paid the saver rate, plus paid for WiFi and chose the room I wanted as was told I could not change it because of paying saver rate. I paid a total of £269 and will now have the inconvenience of trying to get about safely. What a lovely way to treat an O.A.P. Who uses travelodge 2/3 times a year, well not anymore and no recommendations from me.
Theft warning!
Theft warning!! Travelodge Swansea central. If you value your possessions and piece of mind I'd stay clear of this place. We booked family rooms costing over £500. Came back to find that someone had broken into one of our rooms and some other guests rooms. There's no security on any of the floors. Anyone can book a room and ransack the whole place! They didn't seem too bothered. Just gave another room and left us to it. It ruined our entire stay. After that we had to take our stuff with us each time we went out. Even though we were very uncomfortable staying there after the incident we had no choice but to spend the night, then got out of there! Ruined our family holiday! My whole family are upset about the situation. Kids couldn't sleep all night. While we were out they kept asking what if someone broke in again! We'd been looking forward to this all year...now they won't be forgetting this awful experience any time soon.
Don't you want our business anymore?
Planning to make a slightly more complex booking than their web booking system facilitated, I tried to contact Travelodge. No email address on the website. Only premium rate telephone numbers to central booking or the hotel direct. This became particularly annoying when I was not even able to get through to a real person.
So frustrated, I booked with another chain who actually wanted my business.
Well done Travelodge, you just lost a group of customers.
Excellent customer service
Excellent customer service! After my stay, I received a parking fine for the on-site car park (managed by Parkingeye), which I paid to avoid further headache. I reached out to Travelodge to clarify, as parking was supposed to be free, and they reimbursed me straight away with zero hassle. Truly impressed by how well they handle customer issues! Top-notch customer service!
Clean Hotel, Fantastic Staff, Great Location.
Me and my wife stayed at Travelodge in Ashbourne (Peak District) 1st week in August. The hotel itself was basic. The location was perfect for our walking holiday. Large car park, family pub 2 min walk and Aldi across from the car park. What made our stay more enjoyable was the staff. From the manager to the cleaning lady every one was extremely helpful and always had a smile.nothing was too much trouble for them. Lastly, I would like to thank Haley Kingston,(Chief Executive Office) who made our trip possible.
The staff on that evening were great, also the morning chef too.
The staff on that evening were great, Zack, Ryan and Kay. They went out of their way to make sure we had a comfortable stay. Breakfast was lovely too, didn't get the chef's name for the morning shift. Would definitely visit again in future when we're down that way.
A great stay on Ladies Day - their busiest weekend
Harley and his supervisor Mary (?) were very helpful, changing our booking when we confirmed my wife could not use stairs to the first floor
We had an absolutely terrible…
We had an absolutely terrible experience with this hotel(Bristol Emersons green) due to their utterly unreasonable and poorly handled arrangements. We genuinely hope no other family has to go through such a horrible ordeal so we are going to share out our experiences here. We strongly advise any family who has booked a Super Room to call ahead and confirm their reservation before setting off.
We booked a Family Super Room for two nights on July 31st. When we arrived to check in at 9:30 PM on August 7th, the receptionist shockingly informed us that the Super Room was overbooked and there were none available for us. ( Is it even acceptable for the website to allow overbooking in the first place? )
Their solution? They claimed there was nothing else they could do except downgrade us to a standard Family Room and offer free breakfast to brush us off. Arriving at 9:30 PM with two tired kids after driving 200 miles from Sheffield, we had no choice but to accept it, our children desperately needed to rest. They were looking forward to all the extra amenities that the Super Room offered, such as Cool fridge, big screen for leisure time etc., and were deeply disappointed to find none of them in the standard room.
To make matters worse, the air conditioning in the room was completely out of order, When we reported this, the staff simply told us that they had called an engineer who hadn't arrived yet, nothing they could do before they arrived, and since there were no other rooms, all they could do was give us a desk fan. We tried opening the window, but the hotel is right next to the M4 motorway—it was far too noisy to sleep. In the end, we had no choice but to shut the windows and spend the night sweating in the hot room.
Our experience with this nationally chain hotel was beyond disgraceful. Not only do they allow overbooking, but their way of "handling" it effectively forces you to accept a downgraded room with a broken AC.
