If you need to exchange money at this…
If you need to exchange money at this place in Bridgend, be very careful as they false advertising an exchange rate in big numbers on the outside windows then when you get to the desk the exchange rate is considerably lower. When I have asked why is the difference between what is stated on the door and what you actually get, I’ve been told that what you can see outside is if you exchange at least £1000 and apparently it’s written on the board. Of course this is not written on the board, just in a very small print in a corner it says “rates based on a minimum order”. What is the minimum order, you never know. Is whatever they made up on the spot probably. False advertising at its finest. It says huge on the door “turkish lira 53.8” and end up at the desk being given turkish lira at a rate of 50.6.
And on top of that you are being charged for a buyback option without even being asked if you need that service or not.
That’s a lesson learnt today to read the tiny small hidden print as not everything you see as obvious it is true. Absolutely disgusting advertising in my opinion.

Our advertised rates are “from” rates based on higher transaction amounts (e.g. £1000+), which is indicated on our displays. The rate offered in branch reflected the amount exchanged at the time and was confirmed before the transaction was completed.
The buyback option is an optional service, and we can confirm this was offered and declined during your visit.

Wonderful holidays with travel house
We have booked with your agent Nicola Jones for over 18 years and she has never put us wrong. We have had amazing holidays down to Nic . If Nic has gone to a nice hotel or one of her colleagues she always books that hotel for us . We have become good friends over the years due to her booking us great holidays .
