Charged my replacement card after I filed a dispute. Four times. $796.
I came here for trademark filing assistance. What followed was one of the most deliberately obstructive billing experiences I have encountered.
After my initial filing, I was silently enrolled in a $199/month "Brand Protection+" subscription. No clear opt-in. No prominent disclosure. Just a recurring charge I did not authorize.
I filed a formal written dispute in January 2026. The response? Refunds are by phone only. I called repeatedly over multiple days. Calls dropped. No one answered. The phone-only policy is not a customer service choice — it is a friction strategy designed to outlast you.
I escalated to my bank, flagged the charges as unauthorized, and obtained a replacement card. The company then used a card updater service to locate my new card and charged it again. After an active written dispute was on file.

11/17/2025 — $199.00
02/17/2026 — $199.00
Total: $796.00

They charged us $199 a quarter for trademark updates. Something I didn't order or want. Seems that you have buy online, get the trademark filing done, and then they charge a monitoring fee that you have to call in on.
Not a good procuess.

Let the buyer beware
I was to receive a receipt with barcode showing proof of filing with the copyright office. This didn't happen and, at the direction of my publishing company, I had to file again before we go to press. This was very much an inconvenience and it delayed the release of my poetry book. I did receive a refund, of course. However, I won't use this company in the future

Attorney/Former Circuit Court Judge
As an attorney, I have used Trademark for several projects and up to now I have not had an issue. This last time I had them work on two projects simultaneously. The one that I had an issue with deals with trademarking a logo. The deadline to respond to an USPTO Office Action is tomorrow, even though we have had 3 whole months to respond. I have reached out to Trademark Engine no less than 7 times on the issue and all I got was the same thing "We will forward it to your attorney". Turns out the attorney that they gave me wasn't getting any messages because they were deployed (I'm grateful for their service for our country), and they didn't give me another attorney until now. Honestly, I don't think they even knew until I told them through an email. Because of their lack of customer service, and the amount of money I have riding on this thing being done right, I hired another law firm that specializes in Trademarks. Based on the foregoing I will NEVER use Trademark Engine again. Buyer beware, if you have a simple project with no issues, or Office Actions, they may be good to use. However, if it goes beyond that, I DO NOT recommend them!
